Totally Useless. Human eyes can't feel the difference after crossing the 350 ppi. This useless more pixels will only force the gpu to work harder thus drain the battery quicker and makes the heats and other performance issues .
Dude.. The article was referring to screen resolution and not video recording.
340 ppi is enough for phone , phaplet and tablet . human eyes can't see deference if its more. keeping this ppi makes performance of games better and still have the sames visual experience .
for 3D display we need more pixels in one place(with a lot pixels in one 3Dpixel for all directions) so the more the better.
i really wish for 2k in z2. feels natural.

This is just overkill. I can't enjoy a 4K video on 2K display. Full HD and 441 PPI is enough but it does put strain on GPU which results in battery draining quickly. 2K will be just a waste on any 5 to 6" screen and goodbye battery life.

Ggame, 16 Oct 2013You may not see individual pixels past 300 ppi, but 400+ ppi displays definitely look better.You can actually see individual pixels on both resolutions.
It is just too hard and not worthwhile.
have a 3D application without antialiasing, and you will se the pixels at an inlcined borther of a 3D model.
On 400+ PPI displays it looks as it has antialiasing, and on ~300 PPI you can see them even easyer.
So images on a 400+ display is allwyas sharper. Anyone that sys otherwise don't know what they're talking about.
A thing though is that color accuracy gives much more for the display's beauty and quality than PPIs above 330-350, and that is often not mentioned on the reviews.
For instance, HTC 441PPI display fares much better than Samsung Galxy S4 display even with its infinite contrats with that disapointing Pen Tile Matrix. Both displays fare much better than Apple "Retina"s which on its turn fare better than the S3 crapy pentile at 306 PPI. BUT the galaxy note 2 with "ONLY" 267 PPI fares much better than the S3 with 306 PPI, just because it features a complete RGB on a infinite contrast AMOLED.
