Android 4.4 will be 100% released on October 21st. Danny Holyoake from Google+ pointed out KitKat's official Google+ page posts teasers every day at 3 AM (Starting from October 14th). Every teaser makes references to numbers and they form a countdown:
October 14th: 007/James Bond was referenced.
October 15th: If you count the chocolate Android robot's legs and arms as 1/2, there are 6 KitKat bars.
October 16th (Yesterday): The S letters look like 5's.
October 17th (Today): There are 4 KitKat bars.
If Nestle and Google follow the same teaser pattern, we may see a 21/5 announcement and a 28/5 release.
Sounds good to me!

All I know is that I'm buying me a KitKat and as soon as I buy the Nexus 5, I'm going to sit back and enjoy my KitKat bar.

All this talk of KitKat's. Ha, we'll have to indulge in one of those too! I agree, its a great strategy move by google. Rumours, I really hope this one turns out to be true. I was a geared up for the 15th. Do ya's think they'll have enough stock for Christmas?

I wonder if my Galaxy S4 will get 4.3 before 4.4 is released?

Android is crap, Samsung is crap, so, so behind.

I am waiting for Android 4.9 that is being called poo poo, keeping in the theme of releases.
I just dont think these marginal Android updates are enough.
They are just correcting basic flaws and a few tweakings.
When is the real advances going to be made.
