So which phone would success in the long run?
Touch Cruise (Still remember??)?
Touch Diamond?
Samsung Omnia?
Touch 3G?
Touch HD?
SE X1?
5800 XpressMusic?

When you actually consider to buy a phone, I really want the phone IN MY HAND will keep "update" in a long run.

Of course you can keep update your phone by buying a new one. However I afraid not all of us can do so.

Other people need to shut up now. Sales figure can tell us everything. It is very clear by now that iPhone is the best smartphone in the market. Other phone companies are trying very hard to copy from iPhone. They are still trying but without much success.

I'm a big fan of Nokia. But currently I'm eyeing on the SE C905, or iphone. For the first time I'm ignoring Nokia.

Increasing user of iphone and ipod touch has a really good advantage - 3rd party developers will have a meal to eat instead of peanuts. So they'll continue to develope more, and will attract more user too.

I have N95 8GB but I hardly install any softwares because many of the softwares sux big time, and it's not a secret that S60 phones are not the smoothest to operate. Even you have a very handy application, you'll get frustrated to see your phone lagged (to be frank, N95 improved a lot compared to previous S60 phones, but compared to iphone? it's still a lot behind).

But to be fair, Nokia still providing a good hardware spec. N82, for example, would be prefered over iphone anytime for anyone who want to take good picture, without bursting the wallet (you can buy 2 N82 for the price of 1 iphone 3G 16GB). Talking about price, let's face it. Iphone is still considered very expensive, compared to many other phones out there. So Nokia is still a good choice for people who want to spend less on a phone.

All in all, Nokia will still hold a strong position in the mobile world, but iphone is really catching up, bravo Mr. Job!

Oh what's that? Are all of you still here badmouthing the iPhone while Apple pops the cork on another bottle of champagne? Are you all still here badmouthing Americans while we still dominate the global economy? Maybe it's because very few of you actually understand the English language, and hence can hardly write coherently on this website. Let me clarify in case you didn't understand, the Apple iPhone absolutely KILLS the competition, and it's the company's first (maybe second if you count the 3G) attempt in the phone world! Keep laughing it up my friends, we in Silicon Valley are laughing it up too!

B..b...but there's no flash in the web browser! N..N...No MMS or A2DP! Haha there doesn't need to be! Money in the bank children, that's all that matters.

And speaking of Nokia, Nokia releases firmware upgrades for every phone, 3-4-5 for each symbian smarthphone, apple "newbs". You can go to a shop and they will upgrade it for you, or you can do it at home with you`re data cable.

If the iphone does not fit your needs, then do not buy it. I don't think iphone users would care =) Just like we do not care what your communication trend in your country is =)

Sorry guys. The fact is "Iphone win, WM lost", at least this quarter. It is offical, and worldwide....

Even you like it or not....Even how "iPhone sucks"
(WM not sucks????)

There is no point to argue with a fact.
Whatever you live in Asia (like me), or US, or somewhere else.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2008-12-05 03:03 from jJee - click to readI don't think you should say that it took several N series for nokia to get it right.

Nokia and apple business practice is different.
Apple is the american company.
If I recall corectly, they were a company in america saying "You can have any color with this car for the same price.... Any color that's black".
Apple only have 1 style... the iPhone.

Whereas nokia, it's a more 'people' company.
It's try to fit everyone with different phone.
Because everyone is different. Everyone has different need.
Nokia has a cheap phone around US$ 50.
That's for student, or anyone that don't need the smartphone
Does apple has a phone for US$50?
Then, there were a middle price around US$ 80 - US$ 130
If I only need SMS does apple have a product for me for US$ 100?
And so on...

So, apple won't be success if they force everyone to use the same device.
We are all unique.
iPhone is just a bubble, that will go away.
But, I do admit that when iPhone come out the first time.
It's so cool. I almost got one.
I called my brother in the US to get me one.
But, alllassss.... apple stupid decision forbid me from doing so.
And I won't support apple for that.
