My iPhone 3G: I can't transfer/receive files(photos/videos) from my friends phones ($60 Motorolla Razr can do this). I cannot use mp3 as ringtones. I can't sent message with photos/videos attachments. No text message forward. Can't copy, cut, or paste when writing messages. Can't use my bluetooth stereo headset unless I buy a adapter for it. My Iphone does not support voice dialing.

> In reply to iPhone_Master @ 2008-12-09 09:36 from NH}d - click to readThe reason the iPhone is so smart is that you don't need an IT degree to use it.

One touch on a contacts address and it opens in Google maps.

Touch their email address and it opens the email app addressed and ready to write and send.

Windows Mobile was built to be a business phone, despite the best efforts of HTC and others to improve the interface it is still a poor performer for multimedia, people keep going on about, it's got this, it's got that but the simplest things turn into a chore of watching a little circle spinning around the point of your stylus as you press down on a tiny line of text waiting for a menu to appear...

...cut, copy, edit, where's "Assign MP3 as a ringtone", "Use picture as wallpaper", etc, etc, etc?

Until issues like this are addressed WinMo is not suitable for how most people want to use their phones.

People don't want to do the work when using a phone they want the phone to do the work for them.

RIM recognized this, look at the Bold and the Storm.

Nokia with their E and N series recognized this

The other Symbian phone makers recognized this.

Apple recognized this.

They all cashed in.

Microsoft didn't and they are paying for it, 6.5 and 7 look like offering more of the same old WinCE, WinMo 8 looks like showing real promise offering a complete rebuild with Midori.

Now here's a tip if a boxer comes into some money and brings his bimbo trophy wife, into your phone store waving around cash and asking for the best phones available, DO NOT give them WINMO devices.

I agree with the touch screen on the iPhone, it has one of the most beautifull touch screens i have ever touched! the user-interface is simple yet efficient... no if's.. but's... straight to the point. dowloading of applications are awesome, no restarting no special uninstalling process to follow, only can discribe it as "absolutely amazing!"

"The term was first used on January 7, 1992 by Apple Computer CEO John Sculley at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, referring to the Apple Newton."

Email photo's, get people to send MMS to your email address.

There's a reason why iPhone's come with data, so you don't have to be scared of using it.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2008-12-08 12:55 from MjcE - click to readWhat you need to realize and accept is, you are bitter because you cannot afford to buy an iphone, and neither can your parents afford to buy you one. The result is, you are sourgraping and bitter about it.

If you want the iphone to be pay as you go, then get an unlocked iphone =) A lot of phones out there have both locked and unlocked versions, and the iphone is no different. So what if the iphone didn't do well from where you are from? You're obviously bitter enough to post your bitter comments. So obviously you care, in a bitter way =) BTW, the iphone is mainstream, if it's not, you wouldn't even bother with it =)

It came out in 1992, it was one of the first PDA's before they started phone's in them, Windows Mobile didn't even exist, Windows 3.1, MacOS 6 and Amiga were desktop OS's at that time.
