Nokia N85 and N79 hit USA

Nokia N85 and N79 hit USA - read the full textSome serious N-series skill sets foot on American soil, as Nokia N79 and N85 are now official in the US. The pair sure took their time to finally get US 3G sorted. Wi-Fi, GPS and a wealth of media on Symbian S60 are no news...

Fugly fones! I'm afraid Nokia is gonna be fixated on making more
ugly brick designs like these on their future N-series fones...

This is what is missing in the article GSMarena.People should know how to get them.----

"Both devices will now be available unlocked through retail channels in the United States, including the Nokia Flagship stores in New York and Chicago, on www.nokiausa.com and from a number of independent retailers and e-tailers."

So finally nSeries made it to US. As usual no carriers will allow that, hence its unlocked.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2008-12-16 00:50 from 46W}Because it has a lot features. I own one nseries device and i was amazed. Simple GUI and OS, packs a lot on features, and it has a lot of 3rd party apps to select with.

just wonderin.
Does the US networks support 3g and 3.5g?

Nokia have not made both the N85 an N79 such good mobiles as expected they are not good camera mobiles but people were expecting a little improvement from the N95 camera but Nokias done the wrong thing putting below par cameras on both handsets,an you can tell these were made in China as the N85 slide is not very good an the speakers not clear at all, they better watch out the U.S.A with copies as well of the N85 getting made available now

I really wanted to buy one of them. But I quit because their camera is not so good as the camera of my N82. If you compare yòu`ll see.

> In reply to ars @ 2008-12-15 20:07 from n{x{htc is the leader i winmo, but their phones are not good enough. i hoped SE X1 will be a good one, but dropped it from consideration after learning about its horrible camera. nokia's 5 mp camera is unmatched among production phones yet. unfortunately there is no single best phone device or platform yet combining all currently possible features. one has to do a lot of compromising.

I own N95 and I can say I have trouble finding some software functions for S60 handsets that are can be found in Windows mobile 6.1. Windows remembers Caller ID while S60 not. There is BlueAudio software to stream audio from A2DP phone to headset with only headset profile for WinMo (so useful with car build in Bluetooth systems!) while not for S60. Office software is extra for S60. S60 messages are no threaded by conversation. It looks like everyone is just to bash WinMo out there. :)

I am yet to see the new N97. I wish it was out today! I do not care about Facebook panel there. Who cares where and when you piss? Do you friends need to know this? Bring real functions and upgraded features!
