I think there are two possibilities here..
1.Nokia knew ST microelectronics provided components to htc which was exclusive to nokia phones..but they sued htc coz they were afraid to sue their own supplier..
2.Htc used those components knowing this exclusive contract with nokia.
but the common criminal here is ST microelectronic..b**ch
Lol go sue Qualcomm not HTC. The patent system is so corrupt. I really hope that a patent reform will arrive. Nokia as the right to sue but Qualcomm are the one responsible for this. Nokia you lose this the exact same way you did lose for the HTC audio chips. Nokia you are getting so low. The Nokia from the n95 day is no more. Love that phone and still have it. I will never buy an another Nokia product.
I can't understand why Nokia is chasing after HTC well in fact it's ST-micro supplier is the one who breached the exclusive contract. Also it's odd why the court hasn't figured that out, while there is already existing precedent case that was just decided.
My thought, Nokia don't want to mess with ST-MICRO, coz they can't sue their own supplier. So they just ditch on HTC.
advice, 31 Oct 2013it is more microsoft than nokia now,RIP nokiait still nokia and wil always be nokia even after microsoft buy its phones and services division.. Nokia is large corporation and manufacturing phones is just one of its businesses
Nokia slumps so far that it forgets how to be an innovative, successful manufacturer and turns to patent trolling to boost dwindling coffers - so sad to see...
Adomas, 31 Oct 2013Nokia, you are after the wrong people!!! Go sue samsung instead...damn right bro...
advice, 31 Oct 2013it is more microsoft than nokia now,RIP nokiarip htc
HTC knew all along what they were doing. peopl need to get real and stop acting like Nokia aint doing well so they cant sue even if its their creation. thats why Toyota and Honda always earn respect in the auto industry. the thing is stay original. Samsung copied apple's design ideas from the original iphone and now people believe apple is being cocky by sueing.
YuYu Alsalmi, 31 Oct 2013They can't go against Qualcomm Because that way is like suing themselves for stealing their i... moreWrong! They can sue Qualcomm if Qualcomm is found infringing Nokia's patents without license. Now let's focus on Samsung and Apple. Samsung produce processors which are placed in iPhones but they are designed by Apple. Apple suing Samsung, isn't that fit here that Apple is suing themselves? Obviously not. It's business and companies do everything which is profitable to them.

If it was apple that is suing someone, there would be scores of comments praising the icrap company but because its Nokia, the haters come out. Pathetic.
[deleted post]and this paid troll is here again.....
nokia worked and spent money and time in reserching a object. htc just copied it so need to be sued.
it not like apple who patented phones with rounded corner
Nokia is like a drunk stinky bushman homeless wich is making funny stupid noise and act like an insane in a bus station and people are looking pitiful at him :)) go shoot yourself Mokia Fokia. Who are you ?? :)) You are ZZERRO
