I really hope the Optimus L9 P769 gets this update. LG is usually pretty good with maintaining their Optimus line with the latest firmware, but I'm afraid due to the mid-range class of this phone, it may get ignored.

"the speech recognition engine is about 25 percent more accurate than before" actually means "the speech recognition engine still doesn't work".

for those who ask about 2012 xperia update except t/v. u ain't got update for 4.4 the reason is those chipset using QUALCOMM S3 snapdragon(xperia S/ACRO S/ION/SL) has been abandon by qualcomm stop updating driver this also happen to NOVA THOR chipest (xperia P/GO//SOLA) because the company that release chip already bankrupt/disbanded so they wont release any DRIVER FOR BOTH OF THIS 2 CHIPSET. SO DONT ASK THIS SAME QUESTION AGAIN. the reason SONY use this hardware because s4 already high demanded and because SONY so slow they can order new chipset from quallcomm at that time and for nova thor chipset SONY made agreement with erricson to use this chipset and for your information erricson already split with sony and they want sony use their hardware..

driver is important to run on latest android OS

AS you said,The Galaxy Nexus won't get KitKat. makes you wonder why? and it takes way too long for manufacturers to upgrade to 4.4 The Htc one just got 4.3 couple days ago. The Nexus and Google edition phones only avialable in the playstore which only accessable in certain countries.

Maybe LG paid Google not to release Android 4.4 KitKat on older Samsung Nexus devices...
