Sony started being relevant again starting from Xperia Z and newer models... i guess Z1 will shake things a little bit in the coming months.
sony sold 40 million . premium brand only for premium people .
Nokia needs more phones. Lumia 520 is still not on all carriers. Lumia 1020 is only on AT&T. Yes, their high end Lumia 1020 is only on one carrier out of hundreds. Nokia is slowly getting there. Nokia arguably makes best hardware. ClearBlack display, Pureview camera, super sensitive touch screen, Rich Recording, wireless charging, and they are known for call quality, gps, design, and build quality.

Only T-mob sales SONY Z, so I can't see a great future for Xperia within 2014.
I guess Nokia's numbers will change dramatically on Q4-2103. Google just launched Nexus 5, and Motorola the X.
BTW - who is gonna claim the Nexus 5 sales? Google or LG?
sony is new and just making its way to the US markets yet.
2014 will be year of sony. you will be surprise.
the greatest problem of wp8 for me is lack of quality free games like angry birds why should i pay for android free games

Paula's , 02 Nov 2013Nokia makes very reliable products. The choice of windows as an OS is the problem . Apps are ... moreForget about the apps, One doesnt need a million apps in the phone to get the life going. Moreover most of the apps are available atleast in one form or other. as a recent WP user, my opinion about WP is "Pathetic!". Recently bought a Lumia 520 as a second phone for office purposes. I chose it firstly, because of Nokia and was a good looking phone with decent screen size, and specs for the price. But once I started using it, I felt like using some nonstandard Chinese MP4 player. A lot of visual gimmicks and animations.Of course all are very fluid and smooth, but when I opened the screen, what the hell!!! where is the menu? slide to the left and all there is an endless list of apps... Once I started using it, voila...nothing is there...No contacts, virtually no way to connect to your PC and manage contacts (Nokia suite even doesn't recognize it, let alone syncing contents), no file manager(For security reasons I heard, WTF???)and hence, no Mass storage mode, let alone USB OTG. According to the manual, you need a windows 7 PC (which I never found in the retail box the phone came in) to make it atleast usable (That too only media files can be added. For any thing and everything else, it has to be via CLOUD. As if my personal data in my local PC, phone and SD card is not safe compared to a remote cloud server, which any hacker and his Chinese mother can break into!). To add ringtone, you need to drag and drop files from a PC to a specific folder in phone memory. Even cut/copy and paste will not work! Long story short, it is miserable piece of shit, fits only as a paperweight if you doesn't have a ready access to a Win7PC and decent internet plan. Come on Nokia, your dumbest of the feature phones were way smarter than this absolute crap. As to MicroShit Corporation: If you want to copy something new from, why is it that always has to be Apple?? There are much better options in your own garage..Like the Great Windows PC,or even the pre historic Symbian(which still is eons ahead of WP8 in terms of functionality). You cannot simply add cellular functionality to a mp3 player firmware and sell it as a smartphone OS!
Nokia makes very reliable products. The choice of windows as an OS is the problem . Apps are still lacking !!
I am ready to bet that lg has the 3rd spot all thanks to nexus 4. might get even better with nexus 5.
