Unfortunately, "a matter of weeks" doesn't tell us much since there are, after all, 52 of them in every year. I'll anticipate, but not hold my breath. As for the X, which I am really liking so far, it shipped with Android 4.2.2, not 4.3, and there are 'rumors' that Moto will skip 4.2 and upgrade directly to 4.4 KitKat. Naturally, if the past is any indication, VXW will be the last to roll out the OTA.

Moto X uses Android 4.2 and not 4.3. Please, correct this.

Some like raw android and some like customized

I have a Moto X, it ships with Android 4.2.2. It looks like Motorola is skipping 4.3
