8 megapixel Samsung S8300 touch slider makes an appearance - read the full textAs it seems Samsung have a really nice cameraphone in store for all of us, due in the beginning of 2009. The S8300 has obviously slipped under someone's door, as it's not officially announced yet. Only 12.8mm thick, the Samsung S8300 has an absolutely massive widescreen OLED display, probably...

Nokia better pull their finger out or they will be steamrolled by the Samsung juggernaut, just like Motorola was.

Unlike Nokia, Samsung manufacture all their components they don't have to source them from others.

The Nokia's are limited to 5MP and VGA video because of the Texas Instruments processors they currently use.

A quick look at processor speeds will show you this, where are the 5-600MHz speeds of the Samsungs?

Looks like s60. Wow, another massive s60 monster from Samsung? Nokia better take note... if this is truly a s60 device, it along with the INNOV8 are going to be stealing away a nice chunk of business from those not too impressed by the specs or wait of the N97.

Nice phone. For information of all, since the phone packs an OLED display instead of a regular LCD it will consume way less power and the battery will last longer than many other phones even though the screen is large.

@Lord
You are being too jealous. Yes, we know that high-end digicam would never replace cameraphones but it is just a matter of choice to not miss some special moments of your life because it is a matter of fact that you bring your phone frequently than your digital camera.

Well, I don't know what to say. Phone looks kinda strange. Hope it will not have too wide body because of using big ( in my opinion too big for phone) display. Also, modern phone should have Wi-Fi and 3,5 mm jack. Don't know if this phone have ones. Hope, S8300 will be equipped with powerful battery. To be honest, I'm not much optimistic about this model.
