alsocurious, 29 Nov 2013Samsung should buy Jolla and merge Tizen.
Samsung should just license it...from Jolla
that way they can grow faster as other come on board
Carol, 28 Nov 2013All the Jolla developers are in fact ex Nokia employs who (most part of them) developed Maemo ... morei guess once again people don't read the whole post as usual... as i said answered to " Nokia needs Jolla if they want to make a faster comeback in smartphone business " the answer is and still is..Nokia has nothing to do with it
I ever used N9 and it was excellent, except no whatsapp in this platform... So I think if this Sailfish is supported by mainstream social media program such as whatsapp, path, etc, definitely I will give it a try...
markco, 28 Nov 2013here maps will be powered by here cloud services. not offline :( thats a big mistake :(No, the maps are just stored there for you to be downloaded !!!
9oo ooo ooo, 28 Nov 2013n0kia has nothing to do with it...All the Jolla developers are in fact ex Nokia employs who (most part of them) developed Maemo then MeeGo and now jolla. So, yes, NOKIA has allot to do with it. Nokia paid allot of money into this system development;). And this is also why Nokia lost allot of money ditching it, with Symbian is the same;).
Anonymous, 28 Nov 2013Do this one has WhatsApp?it has dAt app...
This jolla phone came a bit late & I've already switched to Android, got my S4 LTE & its really living upto my expectations.

Anomynous, 28 Nov 2013This is based on meego so don't expect it to be a worthy successor of N900. Maemo5 was better ... moreYes, but unfortunately peoples are not attracted to that cause they don't have a clue how to use sophisticated systems. Look at Symbian, one of the best mobile systems out there, yet was killed. Symbian belle is a light version of the real mobile smartOS Symbian and still, there are people that never used it but giving it bad reviews cause they heard that and that. Nokia killed two of the best and real systems for mobile phones. I hope at least jolla will surface with a great hardware, cause i need GREAT hardware not just specs and system. At the end it is a mobile phone and a mobile phone needs to function great and needs to have premium quality. Not crappy s** materials manufacturers this days are using. If this comes out good becomes a side by side with 808 for me. 808 is still a winner, but if i can't find it anymore i jump to this one. Hopefully i receive what i expect...

And I'm sure 2GB and a quadcore Snapdragon 600 chipset would be even better to bring those on the fence abord.
It's a waste of time to tell people "you dont need more than this", it's much easier and more effective to just give them what they want.
This is what is needed in the mobile phone front: true innovation and new development! I'll definitely buy one when they become available. I'm so tired with google dominance
Hope these Old Nokia Employees can have a Only Fools an Horses trip to Nokia a "Jolla Boys Outing" an show to Nokia they made there Biggest mistakes ever-Employing Mr Elop an working with Microsoft an letting Mr Elop say "Symbian is Dead",Ever since Nokia is Struggling as Windows was not right for them,Jolla knew the are more Applications on Android so made the right choice to work with it,but if Nokia was with Android now they would be succesful not Struggling
