What's more, a low-end Android based phone but with a heavy customized system like the Kindle Fire (which means no Google ecosystem, i.e. no gmaps, gmail, play store and so on) would not be a very good idea, if you want to sell it.
It will probably just be an Asha handset. If it really would be running some kind of android it will not be released.
Anonymous, 11 Dec 2013Don't need crapdoid with nokia.. Hope, its not trueWhy wouldn't you want it? I have a 1020, and I'd never buy this device, but that's me. How could more choice be a bad thing? Bring it on.
If this makes it to the shops it's gonna sell like hotcakes, especially if priced like the Asha range. Nokia will instantly regret not going the Android route a few years back.
kris., 11 Dec 2013Yeah you're right as Lumia 520 was released last year ..but you can't disagree with the fact t... moreYes, i won't deny that the Moto G is a good choice for budget android phone, but in my country the Moto G cost about $240 and the Lumia 520 is $140... $100 less, the L520 is still a distant price range than the Moto G.
paco1x, 11 Dec 2013The Lumia 520 is cheaper than the Moto G, average price is $130-$140 most places, in USA you c... moreBecause the 520 is on it's end-of-life cycle, and is no where near in competing with Moto G.
The 525 is coming and it will likely sport the same price tag as 520, if not higher - at $150.
Unfortunately it's still only 4" with the age old 480 x 800 screen resolution. Still no secondary camera. In fact the only difference is the bump from 512mb to 1GB RAM as far as I can see. With same battery, the battery life will be shorter than that of the 520.
Banutu, 11 Dec 2013Every device out there with led flash is better than Lumia 520, and Moto G is on top of that list. The Nokia Lumia 520 is Google's inspiration for the development of Android Kitkat and creation of Motorola Moto G. Lumia 520 is a low-end device with a highend performance.

This is a "forked" version of Android which means no access to Google Play services - So not really worth it...
