LG may release a G-Arch smart watch and a sports band soon - read the full textWith Samsung making a big push to sell customers wearable devices to pair with their higher end devices, one would expect another certain South Korean manufacturer to jump in on bandwagon, too (cough, LG, cough cough). Rumor has it that, in concurrence with the launch of the G3, LG will be...

The LG GD910 is the only ever true smartwatch as all others, are just a second screen. Even Galaxy Gear still needs a S4 or Note 3 to make calls.

But the GD910 could actually make video calls, as you could put a sim in the watch, so that to me makes it a smartwatch.

it seems people just don't get it. LG are not copying. as they were first to market a smart watch back in 2009. Now it seems Pebble/Samsung/Apple and everyone is copying LG.

LG were first to market. and the people were not ready. Now people want smart watches everyone has forgot the inventor.

No surprise that LG is adding to the smartwatch market as just about every tech company is reported to be working on some version of a smartwatch http://smartwatchforiphone.com...tech-battle/

Who cares who was first and who second. Any company can make smart watches they are not patent protected.
If someone can make smart watch better than other companies, then i'll buy that. I don't care they are first or third.
They, who are so worried about "copying", must know that none of the big phone companies (Samsung, Apple, LG, Sony etc) has invented phone.

the original Samsung Watch Phone was cancelled in 2003. And LG brought theres out in 2009. so really want to be precise Samsung sowed the seed and LG grew it.

actually nobody copied, LG & Samsung both brought out the Smartwatch in 2009, at the same. The reason why they didnt sell is because the world was not ready and they were expensive. LG GD910 was £500.

LG has released a smartwatch long time ago with their GD910. More like now only Samsung, HTC and Apple are jumping into it..

It MUST have a good usable GPS on board, loaded with maps; Garmin or Tom Tom and it MUST be waterproof; at least to IP57 standard. Failure will mean... FAILURE!
