In the automotive industry this colour is called "champagne". It fits quite well. Let's stick to that as gold is waaay different that all those so called "gold" paintjobs on mobile phones.

But when they say "Gold" phone, they always say ONLY : Gold.(never gold color, or fake gold, or such)
And besides this is THE MOST kitschy thing in the tech world. And I bet , only few tasteless ppl buy it.

But when they say Note 3 , they never miss to say fake, or "pleather", trying to ridicule it. Right?
No matter that it's standard in the tech since decade , even better than real leather.
And Samsung made it really the best on Note 3.
Especially on the black version that they(media) avoid to show.

> In reply to Ethos-Evoss @ 2014-01-14 20:21 from nxk6 - click to readYou mean fake "gold"?

Fake gold is much, much more kitschy than the fake leather for the tech, but tech media seem to love it(especially with Apple logo on it).

By the way the fake leather is a standard for the tech since decades.(check it out. So popular, that even the real leather is more kitschy there.
If Apple was made iDevice with fake leather, though, if would never be called "pleather" or fake.
The media would call it just "leather with beautifully soft touch". Right.

So everything yellowish is Gold now(since Apple painted the cheap tin-can) , but Note 3 leather backcover is called always FAKE leather.
Right?
By the way the tech media invented the term "Gold" for the champagne iphone color, but they don't know that only few poor hairdressers and few poor stupid ladies will buy this tasteless kitsch.

> In reply to Anomynous @ 2014-01-14 17:19 from Kg%v - click to readI live in SE Asia, and have bought an LG G2. Funny enough that I got a 32GB variant (I didnt know before that LG release this in 2 versions, so I thought I would get a 16GB version) for about usd500, it is us$ 170 cheaper than Z1 and Note 3 (both are 16GB). For another comparison, the Galaxy S4 16GB Exynos costs usd 540. Really surprising. And here after some checking the 16GB G2 is nowhere to be found.
