I'm using Xperia V and I always do bring a spare battery with me. I hope 4.3 update is really going to make it this month..
I hope the 4.3 update can make the Xperia V's lockscreen full. The annoying black thing at the bottom is really an eye sore.. LOL
PiXeLaDo, 16 Jan 2014On a side note, there's a bunch of bloatware apps on Xperia phones besides the gapps: wisepilo... morereally?
the only bloatware in my Xperia is region specific.. and all of them can be uninstalled.
unlike from other competitor's bloatware that can't be uninstalled unless you root the phone.
To. Be honest. I don't know people complaining. 2 updates is decent. Other brands even their last year flagship no updates. Also current flagship up-and-coming 4.4, better performance. But no added features. As previewed
PiXeLaDo, 16 Jan 2014Na-ah, wrong. The proper way to ensure great software upgrades is getting a Nexus device.
A... moreDid you not just prove my point? Whilst the Nexus isn't the most expensive, it seems that this goes against why people like Android - choice of devices.
If your Samsung, HTC, LG and Sony devices don't get updates the most recent Android updates, and they are just over a year old, then what's the point?
Under consideration = buy our phones in stock… You'll never see any next major update, like in our past "under consideration" devices.
This is Android and we're Sony. If you want updates, go for WP or iOS in another brand. Thanks.

Not to mention those sony-specific services.
So yeah, Xperia phones have less bloat than competing alternatives, but not all of it are gapps.
Anonymous, 16 Jan 2014The bloatware on Xperia phones is all Google and all can be safely and easily disabled from Se... moreEhhh.... I kinda agree and disagree. Google is doing what's best for their bussiness model, and that's pushing their search engine further into your life. Tell me what competing company wouldn't do this, and I'll show you a green monkey.
Freedom lovers? You mean tinfoil hats? Most of the time, the average consumer doesn't care that much about stuff like this. Those who do are likely tech-literate users who might as well sort it out by themselves, either by uninstalling unwanted stuff manually or by installing a whole new ROM.
harlekkin, 16 Jan 2014All these recent posts on 4.3 and 4.4, which phones get it and which don't, just confirm that ... moreNa-ah, wrong. The proper way to ensure great software upgrades is getting a Nexus device.
Android, a total mess because of this? Ok, there goes your credibility.
guys ,,pls dont update ur fones to 4.3,,,i hav updated my xperia zl to 4.3,,but now am adjusting to keep it working at least on a day ..pls dont guys, but one thing the 4.3 is lightning fast and awsome,,only problem is the battery life,,b4 i used to use easily for 3 days,,,now!!!!!. the android os taking about 80% of power even with least usage,,,,,!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so update with caution ...
summit, 16 Jan 2014Needs better battery management and erase bloatwares if you may.. The bloatware on Xperia phones is all Google and all can be safely and easily disabled from Settings - Apps, like Google Now, Search, Google+, Hangouts. Disabling Google Now is a must anyway to stop it from hijacking the Home and Back buttons. Sad that Goggle has promised to become even more intrusive in future Android versions, freedom loving Nexus owners are already complaining about 4.4.
Anonymous, 16 Jan 2014Well, Until now I don't received 4.3 updates on my Sony Xperia Z1 Model Number: C6903, Android... moreBecause you bought a grey market device? All Xperia Z1, Z and Z Ultra in Philippines sold through serious stores has already received the 4.3 update, the grey market ones will never get any updates.
