Kiwi, 24 Jan 2014You guys have got it all wrong. Nokias going to announce that they have bought Microsoft..LOL
Good boy turned bad, 23 Jan 2014Same here, my friend. I hate tiles based UI, it looks simple and no attractive. Nokia Normandy... moreso true. android eats lots of precious data and battery with background running apps and most of those background running apps are useless. also no ads on symbian. go to hell eflop.

I have all the phones you had mentioned. My present phone is Nokia 808. But I need an upgrade firmware for BelleFP2. I hope Nokia will hear to me!

Remember how iOS went from HVGA to 16:9. Also the apps could be new addition to the platform.
The basis of my reasoning is that Normandy has the single back button in the center just like Asha OS phones.

Solar panel would be nice Samsung tried it but didn't really market it.... screen, Lens cover, Mini subwoofer on phone, Duel micro SD card slot. or 128gb support... Please keep removable battery!!!!
ArcaneAce, 23 Jan 2014That's bullshit... MicroSD is still a necessity for smartphones. Just ask HTCMaybe he works for the NSA. ;-)
Invitation colour,First leaked Normandy picture colour ,Tree(leaves)colour and Android colour are Green.
So we could see Android device from Nokia.!
frh, 23 Jan 2014I'm 99% sure by the leaked photos Normandy is running Asha OS.No, it is not -- different screen resolution & aspect ratio, and many apps that are not available for Series 40 / Asha.
The rumors above include no mid-range Lumia phones, which is not very credible considering that the 820 & 720 are among the oldest Lumias and badly in need of replacements.
I think the TREE word that seeing in Nokia invitation show Nokia will planning solar cell on Lumia screen.
If they make 1520V with those specs, it will be my next phone. I've been using Lumia 820 for a year now, and I'm satisfied. The only thing which should be better is battery life.
Irish, 23 Jan 2014Its called the cloud...welcome to the modern world learn how to adapt or be left behind That's bullshit... MicroSD is still a necessity for smartphones. Just ask HTC
A low spec android nokia phone? sure will lag like hell. What's the point of that, the lumia 520 is very cheap and runs like a champion. It's not it will be $50, it won't be able to start lagdroid.
Kai, 23 Jan 2014I am least excited about this normandy, since its running forked android which i am strongly a... moreSame here, my friend. I hate tiles based UI, it looks simple and no attractive. Nokia Normandy will have a tile based UI and you know, Android applications aren't optimized to run on a tiles based UI. Symbian Belle FP2 is by far the best. What Symbian needs is a major UI overhaul, latest hardwares except Snapdragon 800 or gimmicky processors , new Web browser, optimized for touchscreens and compatibility of previous generation apps for new Symbian versions. Sadly, Nokia killed Symbian. Symbian was the best resource efficient OS as it can run flawless with outdated hardware, support anything and most importantly Symbian doesn't waste resources such as running background apps which suck data and battery at the same time. Android fails to be a resource efficient OS as it lags, eats half of RAM with background apps running, apps sending data all the time even when background data is restricted. Symbian was the best OS, at least better than Android as the former was more resource efficient while the latter is no resource efficient. It was a stupid move by Nokia to kill Symbian and MeeGo and jump into a half baked OS like WP OS which still lacks most of the basic things which can done on some 7 or 5 years old phones like Nokia N73, E7, E6, N95, N8, 808, X7 and lot more
