So atleast in theory snapdragon 805 is faster than snapdragon 800. Also it has more cache memory, faster RAM so performance will not be issue for 2k display but battery will still be a major issue.

The phone is appealing but the specs are not up to par with the upcoming flagships. HTC has nothing to compete with in 2014.
