Real manly is liking whatever you like. Not using terms like girly to describe what society dictates you to feel insecure for.

Huh ? iOS 7.1 ? It makes no difference whatsoever, even when in some point in the future the fruity company releases iOS 27.1.

Why? Because we all know that iOS is mega-$#1t.

All to gain how much smoothness? A little more that still has some bugs and issues anyway??? How is that worth it?
This overall "smoothness" claimed is no where near the perfection the fanboys will claim. Nor is the other end as far from smooth as the fanboys would like to claim.

The only true difference is function. Most Droids run very smooth too. There are even well optimized lower end Droids.

Also, they can use the leftover materials of the iPhone 5 to build iPhone 5S. So it's win win for them.

What about the Battery Drain Issues that we are facing with the iOS 7.0.4 in iPhone 4 & 4S????

That's the biggest problem....BATTERY DRAIN..

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2014-02-09 11:48 from 4QSR - click to readAs for iPhone 5 being discontinued, that was Apple's biggest mistake. The iPhone 5C was clearly not placed right in the current market, but that doesn't mean that iOS is any less powerful. There are still plenty of iPhone 5 devices that consumers can buy, and by the time iPhone 6 comes out, iPhone 5S will replace it.

iOS is optimised to run on each of the devices, and some features need to be sacrifised to ensure a smooth user experience. People have a choice to upgrade or be happy with what they've got, but at least they keep getting more than what they initially paid for.

Apple must be doing something right or else they wouldn't be able to maintain the market share they've got, which is remarkable given that all other OS's aside from Android struggle coming close to it.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2014-02-09 11:48 from 4QSR - click to readEvery major OS upgrade will introduce bugs and some inefficiencies, that is true for ANY OS. Why do you think Android devices are out of date so quickly?

As for iOS, it is probably the most stable and well organised OS in the market. My iPhone 5 has no performance issues and only some minor browser bugs, but nothing that would put me off it. Most of my friends use iOS 7 on iPhone 4, but yet again, aside from the speed issues they are not complaining.

Face the reality: iOS is a superior product.

> In reply to harlekkin @ 2014-02-09 08:02 from ITEi - click to readHow come only the 5 was able to get the full update and was discontinued???
How come as decent as an update it was compared to others it is still far playing catch up and has brought so many bugs while making the system heavier creating more lag for many users. Even the 5 lags more. Especially 4 and some what the 4s.

Why is that IOS is supposedly so light and so well coded since it only has to work on a specific device, but ever time they release an update it seems to be one of the most bug plagued?

How come millions especially the iphone 4 as well as others have suffered for a couple years of loss of bluetooth and wifi?
