I still think Z is the better phone, slimmer and much more reasonable size, more than enough cpu power, same RAM and storage, camera is more than good enough and battery is just as good with display on.
I almost got angry first time i saw the Z1 in a store, i pulled up my Z and put on top of the Z1 and was very surprised by the difference, it was so annoying. Z1 is just weird, i cant stomach it.

Let's be honest: we all know you wouldn't have bought it anyway.
5.2 inch display fitted in same xoeria z could b a awesome xperia z2
Actually I like the top and bottom bezel, I own a ZL and while taking pictures using the dedicated camera button, I often swipe something on the screen. However I hope Sirius would be more skinny in terms of width

AnonD-77171, 14 Feb 2014There r people like me left handed.
i tried to used a smaller one xperia z but its not that e... moreTheres absolutely no problem to use the Xperia Z with left hand, obviously you havent tried it, you just assuming. When i lie down with my Xperia Z i almost always held it in left hand, same as i do with all phones. Im right handed so i like to use my right hand to touch and swipe and hold a stylus or whatever. Its lefthanded people who use the right hand to hold the phone and to press the power button. So i think you should try again, no-ones gonna buy that little lie.
LG G2, its not exactly a secret that lots of people has dropped theirs and damaged displays and broken glass. This is for two reasons, first the thin bezels make you avoid a solid grip as that would lead to your palm making accidental presses, and then comes the back button, you press it and at the same time the phone is pushed forwards, out of your grip.
I think G2 owners should pay extra for smartphone insurance due to this design that makes people drop them. And can be used by both right and left handed people? You mean its just as bad for both righties and lefties. The power button is in the wrong place and its awkward to adjust the volume (i have phobia against touching camera lenses, fingerprints lowers photo quality a lot and fat and salt from fingers can etch on the antireflex coating)
I don't understand all the hate about the bezels. They really aren't that big. In fact, it helps when hold the phone in landscape mode (allows you to take pics w/one hand). Sure, phones with small bezels like the G2 exist. But look at the highly questionable build quality. Should a flagship phone really bend and squeak that much? Not in my opinion. And i routinely use my Z1 with my left hand (because it sits in my right chest pocket inside my coat. Never had an issue using it with either hand. I think people just like to complain
same boring design.. and too much deadspace down below as usual....
AnonD-77171, 14 Feb 2014look at that round button on the right side of the phones it totally nonsense i usually use ... moreThis makes the biggest sense in the design of the phone. Most of people around the world use their right hand to operate devices.. And because of the large size of this smartphone it makes life easier unlocking it with you right thumb as its positions there while holding the phone :)
There r people like me left handed.
i tried to used a smaller one xperia z but its not that easy (UNCOMFORTABLE) to hold or press it with my left hand!
i used to accidentally dropped morethan 7times already
flat glass back is slippery too
unless i have to use both left & right hands at the same time!
phones now a day is getting even bigger so its not a good idea to put that on one side only!
i like the LG's IDEA for THE REAR KEYS!
ITS GOOD FOR BOTH LEFT HANDED & RIGHT HANDED PEOPLE!
Sony with this huge bazel again u lost the market so plz stop doing this damm fc....king big bazel phones

people mostly use their smartphone inside office or at home!
you don't need to make a call or internet browsing under water or while swimming!
and being a waterproof smartphone is not 100% safe to use it underwater!
one of my friend's z1 got damaged after he took video under water "swimming poll"
so not an important ,but its an advantage

Summer is just around the corner, now xperia user can take their phones while swimming. You know, you just don't leave a high-end device and go for a swim. Wet season comes, then you should put you're non water resistant phone inside your pocket or put it on plastic pouch. I remember s4 active and LG j got bigger bezel than z.
sony's going backward
AnonD-5299, 14 Feb 2014Um, what is everyone's problem with bezels these days? The bezels aren't exactly huge, I don'... moreIt's not just the bezel but the overall size of Sony's phones these days, all the competitors manage to make ther handsets have a smaller foot print. Really wanted this phone to be slightly smaller then z1 with the larger screen
Um, what is everyone's problem with bezels these days? The bezels aren't exactly huge, I don't want them to be thin (or bezel-less). I had a go on my friends LG G2 the other day and whilst holding it, part of my palm kept interacting with the screen because of the thin bezels. Plus, it just looks really odd/ugly with the screen practiaclly touching the side of the phone. Sure, I don't want the bezel to be huge, but my Z1 is fine, the bezel is only 4mm thick. That's pretty thin.
AnonD-221836, 14 Feb 2014Again with f***ing huge bezels, you lost me this round sony, i was looking for a replacement t... moresony is retarded. I too have an ZL but since then they pushed out only huge bezel phone like the "Z1 compact" that actually is as big as many 4.7 phones already in the market.
LG is doing good in that matter and maybe Samsung will follow. The first company to release bezelless 4.7 or 4.8 phone (similar to G2 concept) will hit the jackpot.
And it has to be 720p with big battery as well.
Again with f***ing huge bezels, you lost me this round sony, i was looking for a replacement to my xperia zl...
Xperia's display sucks! Sony can't solve the yellow hue problem.
