shax, 16 Feb 2014how cyanogenmod can do it but HTC can not are you kidding me ???????????????? HTC is a bad l... morebecause cyanogenmod doesn't have to meet regulations and standards that are set for mobile devices, also cm since 10.1 has had something broken or little bugs that would never get passed testing, etc. big one would be mhl, the graphics glitches when rotating the screen, the ram leaks and the proximity sensor being bugged but working. there are a few more. Also pretty much every oem is only going to use official sources from the soc maker like qualcomm and nvidia to build newer versions of android, cm doesn't have to and right now cm 10.2.1 and 11 are using 4.2.2 sources from htc.

HTC is a bad lier
if you dont want to update it just say it
Then how come custom roms on 4.4 work so fine on HOX? Am a noob, yes but it doesnt take a genius to figure out that HOX Tegra 3 CAN run KitKAt.
They're doing this for One X now but didn't want to for the Desire HD and the outcry for that update back then.
people are bitching about how bad tegra is... this is a 2 year old phone. 2 years is a long time in the techworld. In its day this phone was a fucking beast. I owned the 2012 nexus 7 with the same Soc and it performed well. I applaud HTC for keeping up with its customer service, though sooner would of been better
Flash CM 11 and Moto X Kitkat Dalvik and Bionic libraries and youll have a brand new device. Basically makes the CPU perform like a dual Snapdragon 600. Quadrant scores over 7000. Antutu of at least 18000. 100% fluid operation.
I own One X tegra version..and dont give a f..k about kitkat..i like how it runs(very smooth) for his price its the best 4.7`` in the market.
If u want 4.4 buy Htc one so stop complaining.

I still have an HTC One X (bought in April 2012). And it never ever disappointed me. In gaming it was a bit on the hot side (played Mass Effect Infiltrator, a couple of NFS's and Real Racing 2 so I know). But as a phone and as a movie/video player it was brilliant. Sure, maybe Nvidia Tegra 3 wasn't the best option, but HTC knew how to get the most out of it.

They are terrible in real life usage, barely working at all, the felt performance is lower than most single core phones with 512MB RAM.
Everyone know why Tegra has lost so much market share, its because they do not work in practical day to day normal life situations, even something as simple as text input will freeze and lock up with a Tegra chipset, the most basic tasks are stuttering.
More cores =/= better performance. Back when the One X came out, it was being outperformed the dual-core Snapdragon S4 in the One XL and One S. Not to mention that Tegra 3 was rather poor sound quality.
