Anonymous, 25 Feb 2014with cheap low end android devices? Seriously???It's a 50/50 deal. The straregy was simple. I do hope you know that on most Emerging Markets, usually those countries near China, there are a lot of knock-off Android phones, feature phones, and low-end "real" Androud phones. Heck, you can even purchase a phablet for $25 and it doesnt have any contract.
The Nokia X Family targets those segment in the global market. Maybe as a way to abolish feature phones, or to provide an Android alternative where there is constant developers support. You ser, midt low end and chinese based androids dont really receive updates at all.
Another part of the strategy that Nokia made is somewhat an introduction to the WP8 ecosystem which is already competing on the mid to high end segment of the market.
It is like WP issue all over again, back then people thought Nokia would go flop with Windows, a year later, they started making grounds. A simple difference between a 512MB RAM on a WP8 and Android is a proof already. See which is more fluid than the two.
Aca, 24 Feb 2014Does it support WP apps?this made me laugh...allot! in answer to your question: no
ajay, 24 Feb 2014 I think that ,now its nokias turn to rule the cell phone market. with cheap low end android devices? Seriously???
