I revere engineers who made HTC HD2 what it is today. A phone that can run multiple of Operating System. Belief me when I say, HTC for life no matter what
I loved the Xperia Play, I had the white version. Playing games is just not the same on my current Xperia Z, I miss the game pad like hell. The on screen keyboard just isn't the same, I've bought games and just got over them quick just because the onscreen keyboard ruins it for me.
I spent many good hours gaming with the PLAY and I'm fkd off with Sony for not playing the long game with the concept because a PLAY2 and PLAY3 would have been fkn epic.
Anyway, we live in hope . . . .
AnonD-206292, 15 Mar 2014Sony should have made Play 2. I really miss physical buttons for android games.or better yet they should do what they have done with their old uiq phones they had where it had detachable keyboard but here instead they do that with controller
HD2 is certainly legendary. Using it as second phone. Just flashed kitkat on it and running Xperia theme. Still scoring 2700+ on Antutu. Wish newer Sense version can be ported but I think it cannot go passed Sense 3.5 at the moment. Thinking about new One M8 or Desire 816 with latest Sense.
Sony doesn't understand the importance of product support.
It has its own notion of not giving updates to older phones resulting in loss of oomph very soon and very low resale value.

SENSATION XE
ONE MAX
love em...
Yep, the Play runs a Qualcomm S2 (MSM8255). The S1 would be for example the MSM7x27 line, known with plenty of low-end 2011 Samsung devices.
HTC HD2 legendary phone
Sony should have made Play 2. I really miss physical buttons for android games.
This reminded me that HTC made good devices at one point. I had HTC TyTN II and I was planning to buy the HD2. Now I own an EVO 3D but I think HTC should revive a phone like the HD2. The 4.3" screen size is great,as well the durability and versatility of that phone is yet unmatched
Happy Birthday SAMSUNG Galaxy S4! (Even though it was yesterday :/)
FYI: actually, the Xperia Play used the Snapdragon S2 chipset (2nd gen), not the S1 (first gen).
You are entitled to your own opinion. But do not bash a brand without knowledge . Xperia play 2 was never made due to the poor response play received
HTC HD2 did a fantastic job. Now Hoping for next Generation Phone from HTC. Like HTC HD7s.
I liked that Phone but the only Drawback was the Software n Applications in WINDOWS PHONE STORE. Now that has been Sorted out by Microsoft. So HTC can Concentrate in making WINDOWS PHONE like Htc HD7s...
Thanx...
Still using Xperia Play , great phone all around, emulator work perfectly and now still able to run persona 3 portable at decent speed using ppsspp, almost perfect, hoping xperia play 2 !!!!
sony is a BIG liar on the history
just look at what the have done on x10 mini/mini pro ?
they said that product couldn't support maultitouch , so we will not continue support ...
and about xperia play !!
that was a really amazing phone specially for who that are working and don't have time to stay at home and play with console. sony could improve the xperia play ( like galaxy series by samsung ) .
but sony told a lie again , " xperia play can't update to 4.0 bacuse of blablablaaaa...
and because of that , me and so many peoples boycotted sony .
now , i'm on galaxy and will never , never , never back to sony till xperia play 2 with a really really high end is out .
I have the AT&T and Verizon version of the Xperia Play. Both bootloader unlocked. I love this phone, it's excellent for classic console games. I wouldn't buy it to use a phone anymore, except for calling, but it's cheap enough to buy just to be a portable gaming and music player.
HTC HD2.still got mine, still use it daily.
the best device built yet.
if only htc would listen to users and make a new, updated hd2(b)
mine an early one with cpu pins and not the stupid ball system the later versions are jinxed with.
htc do not have very long left to start doing things properly, more firms will go over to twice yearly new state of art devices, htc will get badly left behind.
hd2 sold very well still even after lots of other more powerful devices hit the market because it was very good size for lots of folk and could be made to do almost anything anyone wanted/needed a device to do.
please htc,do an updated version soon.
only HD2 most solid phone
