Anonymous, 24 Mar 2014What kinda foolish comment is that, megapixels are overrated. I have been a professional photo... more13-20mpix camera in a mobile phone is okay. Beyond that ia irrational.
If i want to edit my pic, i need more pixels. And i DO NOT keep my pics in social media. I keep it in my memory cards or hard disks for MEMORY OF THE EVENTS.

HTC's phones are the worst kept secrets in mobile phone history
Anonymous, 24 Mar 2014What kinda foolish comment is that, megapixels are overrated. I have been a professional photo... more20 years you say?...although you have a point, the reality says the contrary - ALL flagships and not only them beated One regarding camera performance so you could get a conclusion from this:), but this One doesn't seem too promicing, we just have to wait and see the reviews of final units
Very underwhelming phone which presents nothing new really. Same old and flawed camera with some new gimmicks which no one would use on a daily basis. And all these leaks made us fully informed of the phone's specs, design, everything far ahead of official presentation. Very disappointing, HTC, what the h*ll are you doing?
Sony Xperia Z2>Samsung Galaxy S5>HTC THE SAME One
Anonymous, 24 Mar 2014What kinda foolish comment is that, megapixels are overrated. I have been a professional photo... morehey buddy ,,you know nothing man!!
if you put a 0.7 mp image on a phone screen then it would be like a screen shot....you will be not be able zoom in or either you will loose details and image goes blurry..... more megapixels are needed for sharp images with better details in depth and lossless zoom.....
Anonymous, 24 Mar 2014What kinda foolish comment is that, megapixels are overrated. I have been a professional photo... moreYou're obviously a fan. So it would've been best if you had just said so. As opposed to defending & dropping knowledge that doesn't really matter in the grander scheme of things. Regardless if megapixels matter or not? HTC one has a subpar performing camera at best as compared to it's counterparts. End of discussion.
Anonymous, 24 Mar 2014What kinda foolish comment is that, megapixels are overrated. I have been a professional photo... morethe problem mister anonymous is you are an ignorant. Megapixels on phones are important because: oversampling algorithms can produce a much better image - more detail, more info on the correct color, better white ballance AND you can use it to zoom considering you don't have a telephoto lens attached to the slim smartphone. Your experience in photography is therefore irrelevant in this situation - you COULD use it to compare the images produce by a lumia 1020 and a htc one ULTRAPIXEL technology.
Not bad...If you compare the 4UP camera to average 1.2um size then it's 80% more equally about the average of 7.2mp. And about 9mp for these 5Up cameras.
If these 13-20mp sensors used this...Or in the way of needing to conserve space even an 8 or 10mp used 2um or even 1.5-1.8 it would help...Of course many other aspects play in.
Anonymous, 24 Mar 2014yes what shame, cause megapixels are everything...
/sWhat kinda foolish comment is that, megapixels are overrated. I have been a professional photographer for over 20 years, so I do believe I have some experienc e.
Most people today don't print let alone print bigger than 6x4, which all you need is 3 megapixels.
In fact, you need 0.7 megapixels for your phone screen, 1 megapixels for your computer screen, and 2 megapixel for a HD tv.
The more pixels you have on a phone, the more memory you will use up on your phone. As long as the picture is well exposed, sharp and you have a great quality screen on your phone, it's all good.
Most people keep their pictures on their phones, Facebook or instagram.
More megapixel mainly affect how big you want you print and if you don't print, it don't matter.
Megapixels is the only way most store staff know how to sell a camera of a mobile phone camera. . . Sad really!!
But if this is the new One, I want one !!!
This is phone of the year, I have seen Sony Z2 and Galaxy S5. . . Disappointed!!!
It's all about the One!!
I am not sure but I believe that the source is not sure about who mush megapixel each camera have, another day of waiting to find out the truth is not that bad...believe me I think HTC learned a lesson from last one, so I don't believe it will do it again
Last year HTC one looks better than this one. the round corners are too much
what a waste by htc again..lol.. i am upgrading from my one x to sony z2 or z1 compact...
very disappointing........again 4mp crap + 2mp (only for refocus)...????
where is the combined 16mp resolution.....and what a joke !!!! front cam is 5mp..and rear 4mp...its disgusting..!
I don't know why, but I still feel that these leaks are purposeful and HTC is really going to SURPRISE..! us. Hope they do surprise us and keep our expectations... Just waiting for tomorrow ...
