by the way, if you just wanna make calls and send messages and stuff like this, dont bother buying a pro. device that has winmo, just go get a toy like iphone.

guys i wonder why these people keep saying that it's difficult to work with winmo? i got my omnia last month and never had a problem with it from the beginning. and it was my first winmo device. of course working with a professional phone is not as easy as working with one of those ridiculous phones, what do you expect? should driving a brand new ferrari be as easy as driving a 1960 beatle? the beatle is easy to drive cause it doesn't have anything to learn. but a ferrari... yes you will definitely need to read user manuals. BECAUSE ITS PROFESSIONAL.

> In reply to PDAer @ 2009-03-01 02:52 from ni{2 - click to readSo how do you buy a license from Microsoft to use a new ROM?

Oh, that's right you have to use a pirated version.

What does that do to your warranty?

All the iPhone updates are available to all iPhone's.

Touchscreens were around before the iPhone, what Apple did was introduce a whole new approach to how you use them.

An iPhone, you pick it up and start using it, a WinMo device you pick it up, start using it, throw it down in frustration, pick up the manual, try again, get lost in a sea of settings you need an IT degree to figure out..

e.g. File managers, application managers, task managers, the memory runs out because your Bluetooth FTP server is set to phone memory not memory card, the RAM runs out because you've got so many things open, you spend hours on the phone to the manufacturer in order to acheive what?

Bluetooth ringtones from your old phone to your new phone and use them.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-02-27 22:48 from v0gj - click to readnot really. every other phone can upgrade their firmware, but it is basically the same software with bug fixes and a little improvement.

If you have SE or nokia phone and you decide to update your firmware, what it does is simply fix the bugs and do a little UI improvements. But your UIQ(SE) can never be a UIQ3, in the same way that your S60v3(nokia) can never be S60v5.

WINmo is totally different, its like changing your desktop PC from windows xp to vista.

Sure you can upgrade the Win Version that is already installed..

You do it the same way, that you install another ROM..

Please check your knowledge before speaking next time
