> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-03-09 17:14 from uBZi - click to readE90 isnt new Communicator but still the most Laptop-ish pocket device which serve me more than any other computer except the Desktop.
What i miss in my E90 is some bonus features like:
1. Touch screen.
2. Massive Mass memory with Micro SD port.
3. Games.
I cant change the E90 cauz there is no device worth the upgrade now from any manufacturer including HTC and Nokia. The Tooth is welcomed but the WM is a Good Bye.

> In reply to Hoodibaba @ 2009-03-09 05:14 from NKb4 - click to readBecause its a small market. Unless you generate Nokia's sales volume, its hard to justify developing a specific phone for such a small market.. Nokia has a couple of camera free phone designed for the market you mentioned. But they don't promote it as much because its not a viable market by itself.

Why dont these mobile manufacturing co's give a decent handset with all required features but WITHOUT a camer.People in manufacturing field including automobiles and even in some software co's need mobile phones without a camera inside their co. premises.I personally know around a thousand people who need camrea free handset but with good memory, bluetooth, etc.I thing mobile co's should seriously think about camera free handsets instead of just running behind other rivals in the race of high resolution camera features.

> In reply to shame @ 2009-03-08 11:25 from 0mqU - click to readWell for one thing, REAL pocket PC (which is a legacy term, its now Windows Mobile), go for OS first than hardware. They like myself, like the Today screen, like the productivity, like the ability to tweak, like powerful software, like, etc. Basically, like the software first then the hardware. Oh and most importantly, like the touch screen. The Dell Axim's problem was it's a Dell which back then is only sold online. But at that time, buying gadgets online wasn't as widespread as today. So it didn't really took off. But Dell is considering getting back into the PDA business, so...

My opinion is just for the real Pocket PC users!
Let's look 4, even 5 yars in the past..., what we do have - Dell Axim 51v. What is exactly Dell Axim 51v ?
It's a Pocket PC with the following specs: 624MHz processor, an Intel 16MB graphics accelerator with OpenGL ES and JSR-184 support, and a 3.7 inch VGA (640x480) screen. It's also got integrated WiFi and Bluetooth along with an SD card slot and a Compact Flash card slot.
What is the situation now, 5 years latter ... HTC Firestone, just a gsm modul and camera more - funny.
Just think about how fast we progress. I could say - 5 yars and NOTHING changed!!!

Interesting business model... HTC seems to be having its "core" models (Diamond, Pro and HD), some budget models with less consistent branding, and then doing devices that the carriers request on top of that. On the other hand, we have Nokia looking after its own line, usually.
