The same reason that U.S buy these flagships. Stop insulting indians and use your brain. If one wants a flagship without restrictions , and a good resale value he will go for samsung. If one wants a phone which has class he will buy sony or htc or apple. Simple as that. Your comment does not nake sense.

We know only flagships will be having latest software/hardware and rest will have old hardware/software only. We also ignore overpriced items and buy only when price comes down.
looking at the prices, it doesn't look like there will be a GS5 with 2k display, which is displayed with a ? mark
We are not dumb as average Americans. Samsung rules here, there's a reason. Nokia ruled here, there was a reason. Somy has a good market cap here, good.
But Apple, you just had to include that didn't ya?
apple and other menufecturer should take some lessons from it. apple have a better smartphone then samsung but he need a great sale policy in india to become no. 1smartphone.
Samsung knows India is a growing market.. It's a shame nokia or apple or any other oem doesn't realise it.
I fail to understand what makes people repeatedly buy these so called 'upgraded' models when they are all the same but just being packaged differently. Its quite obvious now that Samsung is just playing around with names and fooling the public with varying price tags. Ironically, most of these 'fooled' buyers are from India itself! Pity those who end biying the 'latest' galaxy phones expecting it would be generations ahead of its predecessor :(
