no matter how much u try and back up moto they are stil in the shiz.

sony ericsson phones may have similar designs but atleast they stil appeal to people.

unlike motorola who also have old and 'similar looking' handsets that don't appeal anymore at all, like the moto actv w450 which is just another boring razr clone, that no one would buy, just look how many hits it has....and how many handests have they actually announced/plan to release, next to nothing!

SE are actually doing something about their situation unlike moto who'll down as one hit wonders.

Hey, a few years back I used to have an SE W810i... thought was great but loathed the idea of having a "Walkman" branded phone without a 3.5mm jack... and hated the idea of using their memory sticks instead of using the industry standard...

My point is that it doesn't matter what you've done in the past... it is the here and now that matters... and Moto needs to catch up, real fast, cause I think the fat lady is getting ready to sing...

He was merely responding to the baseless Motorola attacks that usually go along the line of Motorola not being a pioneer, crappy phones, no technology, etc.

Motorola fell into the RAZR trap, no question about that. But where is this same criticism when it comes to SE? They put out music phones with no 3.5mm jack and are committed to their Memory Sticks as opposed to SD. A large percentage of their phones are so similar in looks and are only differentiated by the slightest features. Motorola for the whole 2008 sold more phones to end users than SE (despite what SE fans think). The most laughable point is the SE fans that use the Xperia as a showcase of SE's might when that phone was made by HTC.

Motorola's lack of offering has always been in the smartphone area. If Nokia wants to dominate the "sports car" market with their N Series phones I would gladly let them. A good offering of low to mid priced phones and business phones will carry any phone company. You can have your 12MP camera phone that cannot proper pictures when compared to a half decent digital camera.

Moto is sad lol

design is ugly, just doesn't appeal to anyone but moto fans. 4 years on and all they can come up with is 64mb internal memory and a 3 megapixel camera......fail!

no wonder its only going to be targeted at one market.

100 Moto - No matter how many times you say it the masses here obviously have the attention span of a Goldfish.

MiniUSB + Charging is something Motorola was doing for years and that "lack of innovation" is now copied on several other phones with Sony Ericsson being the only exception with their DCU-60 port.

Remember when Nokia used MMC and RS-MMC? Motorola was using microSD. Now the SD platform is used in every phone except for SE.

Motorola has been slow to adopt Wifi and high MP. The latter is a race for fanboys and in no way drastically improves a phone. All Motorola has to do is make phones with a 2-3MP camera, flash, autofocus, swappable memory, good battery life, solid UI, good voice clarity, and fresh designs. Those are the phones that will sell during the good times and the bad.

How about the I?music brand? How many YEARS did it take to finally adapt the use of micro-SD card? How about slim flip phone? How about large screen (expect P-series)?

3mp >= 5mp for some other brands
5mp >= 8mp for some other brands

When Moto PIONEERED the use of the micro-USB plug back in 2007, where was everybody else? Why all of the sudden when the almighty brand announced it would use micro-USB plug last month, everybody started to make a great deal about it?

Why Moto INVENTED charging by USB when V3 was released in 2004, and YEARS afterwards most phones from the almighty brand still does NOT support charging by USB?

How about offering 3.5mm plug on a phone? When Moto released such feature on its E2 back in 2006? How many "I?Music" brand phone offers 3.5mm plug?

It seems that Moto haters are slowly loosing their zeal.
They are running out of arguments, and post mostly generic "Oh no it's Moto, I hate it" comments.
I think they are wearing themselves down :D
