Don't care, i9300 already rooted, running Vanilla 4.4.2 like a dream.
What. The. F*** first samsung fail to provide any updates for a former flagship forget the use of the word ''timely'', thoroughly disappointed, still remain a samsung fan because i still love their phones, but samsung should know the only reason i stick to samsung is because after they become stingy with their software updates for former flagships i have Cyanogenmod to fall back to, Cyanogenmod all the way.
i have updated my s3 and now it is slow like anything.................... updating s3 to kitkat is foolishness
plz tell how i can degrade my cell
So, Sammy's Bloatware needs more than 512MB ( as Android 4.4 supports 512MB )
I call BS on this one. If Cyanogen can port KitKat to lower-end devices, 1GB is more than adequate.
And it contradicts the statement that KK could run smoothly on 512MB RAM: http://www.tomshardware.com/ne...d,24931.html
Kit-Kat supports 512Mb and up, but probably with no or almost no modifications to Android. Samsung has a habit to load their phones with "everything but the kitchen sink" and all those bloatware apps, of course, want to start themselves with the phone - that's why they (might) need that much memory.
But KitKat is meant to run well on lower ram. It's down to laggy Touchwiz
Samsung, you should think when you build stupid and heavy touchwiz, not when is comming to updates. On S3, from 850 mb of ram, 600 mb always is occupied by your heavy touchwiz and nonuseful apps. What you think about my question??? Very bad move, samsuck...
Odin, here I come!
I will flash the s**t out of my S3...
Too bad, I was really into Samsung when I acquired my S3, a really great phone for it's price.
It's true that 1GB Ram can't support, then stop putting all those shiatz inside!!!!!
Looks like someone is going to sell his s3 and buy himself htc one mini or sony z1C :)
Very bad decision. Samsung gave stupid reason to escape from giving the update.
Luckily s3 i9300 has great support from cyanogenmod in recent days and has got all CM 11 M updates. The recent one(M6) is more smooth and battery efficient than galaxy s4 with stock rom!
