Virtruvian, 17 May 2014You're kidding, right?
Who takes their mobile...surfing?
I know I sometimes need to take ... moreI guess you still think in limitations.
I know someone who surfs seriously. He wished he could take his Note on arm strap for tidal updates, map location and for emergency gps beacon accessible by his surfing buddies. It's not only for calls, as you may already know.
I told him about the S5 Active, and he wants one for, and not having to leave his device on the beach side. The current S5 and Sony Xperia can't be in salt water.
Wait, more resistance ,metal?is this suppose to be active, prime or plus of s5?also, do i suppose to be impress or what?:-P
TheNeighbor, 17 May 2014Hahaha... Then stop using Samsung devices. I seen the S5 personally and have tested the featur... morehmmm.... you are waiting for Note 4? ehh good luck! About my side, I'm a Samsung user for more than 5 years and still using their smartphone (Galaxy tab3, Galaxy S2, Galaxy y etc..) and my first Samsung phone I remember is the omnia HD (my first expensive phone in that year) then after using it for almost 3 years (3years after I purchase it) I give it to my younger brother and he is very happy when I give it to him. hows my expirience after using it? all I can say is, it's the best handset (smartphone) I owned in that time. multitasking was superb! image quality is great! speaker isn't that good but itsn't that bad also (average). I love Samsung and I don't hate them! in facts, some of my comments against them aren't a "fanboy" comment. its a "fact" opinion from a Samsung fan like me. then after a year from using their phones, I realize that there are some other OEM's have a good devices than Samsung. then I try to get a new phone from other OEMs and its looks promising... I did not regrete it. and I love it! dude there are some. other OEMs are much better than Samsung (they offer much promising features [not a gimmicks]). you should try it also. the world isn't revolving around them, do not be a slave. try the competition also and prove to me (to us) that you're not a brand purist.

I know I sometimes need to take a call when I'm riding a 15 foot wave.
Satty, 17 May 2014There is no demand for a Samsung active.. The s4 wasn't water proof or dust proof and therefor... moreI can see the reason. The S5 Active will be a "new" model so it'll be more expensive and will probably boost Samsung's sales.
TheNeighbor, 17 May 2014Hahaha... Then stop using Samsung devices. I seen the S5 personally and have tested the featur... moreCalm down. You don't have to waste your energy to defend samsung with a lengthy post. Its not like they're gonna pay or anything. Looks does matter for a flagship phone. I really see no difference between s5 and active based on news so far. Its just spamming.
ABADDON, 17 May 2014still not impressive.Hahaha... Then stop using Samsung devices. I seen the S5 personally and have tested the features, and they are all very impressive. The back feels right in the hand. Camera performance and features are very impressive. Screen is even better than any Super AMOLED I have used and seen. The Ultra battery saving mode something I'm wating for the next Note 4.
And this S5, you can really take surfing or swimming with salt water. Something meant for extreme outdoor recreation. Way useful than any smartphone device in the market right now, beating even Sony Z2.
If looks and metal body are what you anti-Samsung will just be blabbing here, I suggest you just stop posting here.
There is no demand for a Samsung active.. The s4 wasn't water proof or dust proof and therefore an s4 active made sense.. However with the s5 being both dust and water proof there is much less demand and little economical sense to release an s5 active.. Fail
