Almost everyday im reading a comment here in gsm. I saw no one comment complaining about the popular brand got a scratches on screen. Saphire is unneccessary, it cause only to increase the price. My lg P506(2011) and sony ericsson neo v(2012) doesnt have any scratch up to now.
Android phones doesn't need sapphire glass bcoz it can't compete with iphone...
copy, copy, copy... the undying "COPY" comments.
FYI, everybody copies, even you.. yes YOU! some just do it so obvious, while others do it in a clever ways and even call it "innovation" so get over it.

My fisrt portable phone was the size of a car battery that had a strap to carry around like a handbag, then my next phone was the brick ( Motorola 9800XL ).
Who in their right mind would have imagined technology would bring us to this point with this current tech we now have.
flexible ( wrap, roll or fold up ) is the next move.

Its written that Samsung & LG looked for using sapphire display way before Apple...but they decided to move on bcoz its costly...But Apple on other hand decided to use it bcoz they just want to show that only they can make premium products...!

Sapphire was not invented by Apple nor is it's use going to be. Only lame apple zealots will harp on this technicality.
samsung copies whatever apple do, lg copies whatever samsung do, so yeah, they both will use sapphire

First Samsung copied Sony in ... moreApple doesn't invent fingerprint sensor before in smartphone, Fujitsu/Sharp the one use it first. Also Apple copy quite a lot of Sony product also. If you read Steve Jobs book, he actually mention that he copy and admire Sony design. In this world copying technology is pretty common. I think you should do your research before bashing peoples up.
