AnonD-93438, 30 May 2014well, how about a 70" TV and fit it with a satellite cable receiver and a gsm radio that ... moreWhat's bothering you anyway ? The fact that somebody called this a phone ? Or the fact that Samsung will produce and sell this as a phone ? What's keeping you from using this device as a small portable tablet with gsm capabilities ? Provided you'll buy it. Provided you're into tablets. By the way: I wish you a very comfortable web browsing on your "handy & generous" iphone screen. You could loose yourself on that surface. You could even skate. Do you see the screen anymore after more than one finger is used ?
hahhaah thats true
well, how about a 70" TV and fit it with a satellite cable receiver and a gsm radio that people will carry around? anything more than 4.5" is nonsense.
WEH, 30 May 2014Yet, their company was among the top companies who creates a lot of garbage cellphones, phable... moreYes that's true, but come on, two years owning a phone, seems like the limit of you and it both. And yes, Samsung produce more than 50% maybe a lot of crappy devices, but how one would find the best recipe, if not trying anything ? It's like on a political scene. Sooner or later the biggest party will engulf all the non significant others. Regardless the ideas. Like Nokia once did. Hence my opinion.
7 inch is not a phone . Just because it has calling capabilities it cannot be called a phone.
What's next ? A smart tv with SIM card that is called a phone because it can call people ?

They created a current with the "Note... moreYet, their company was among the top companies who creates a lot of garbage cellphones, phablets, and tablets each year. The worst part is once you've purchase an android smartphone. e.g. Galaxy S5. After 2 years. You won't get any more android updates. When you go to a nearest samsung store. They would advise you to purchase a newer version of samsung smartphone. I'm not a typical user who waste $5,000 per 8 months only purchasing a smartphone.
Nick, 30 May 2014One day smsung come with samsung galaxy monster with 20 inchhahaaaa! You got it right there
Galaxy Gozilla will be for japan market.
It measures 42" display.
Apple is still at ....4"? Some competitor.
One day smsung come with samsung galaxy monster with 20 inch
Samsung is in the vanguard of scientific progress ! They created a current with the "Note" line, and now the wave is like a tsunami. It's only logical they are pulling this out. The future is this ! Big phone-small tablet like devices ! In a few years, 6'-7' gsm "mobiles" will be a common thing.
dze, 29 May 2014Soon we will carry a tablet side phone. Only if you decide to buy it.... unlike like other manufacturers (apple cough cough) you can buy a device with a screen size from 2" to 12" and every increment in between.
A 7" screen is too big for me but i can understand the appeal for some people.
very good
Sick of the candy bar design.
Every minute they release a model that looks identical.
hmm, the code is T2558.
so since it's bearing the T letter, then it's a tablet, not a phone.
btw, the buttons placement is weird.
power button and volume buttons on one side?
that's not typical Samsung style.
one day people stop buying TV's, and hang the phones to the wall, no surprise if they launch 20 inch smartphone, we just need a assistant to maintain that phone or they supply assistant along with the phone to carry phone anywhere with us......this is mainly sammy concept.....just ruining the mobile market with unnecessary sizes...
As long as it has a high RAM, at least Quad-Core, and goid chipset, it'd be a great phablet.
Angry Mobile Nerd, 30 May 2014It most likely will have a removable battery. I know a lot of people are unhappy with Samsung... moreYes, a removable battery is the main great feature that I think is lacking with the competition after following Apple's philosophy of a closed device with fixed battery.
This one is interesting - a 7-incher device with removable battery. The only thing missing for me is an integrated active Wacom digitizer pen (S Pen). I'm pretty frustrated with my Note 8 having to plug in some 5 hours+ later after continuous use. I need that spent battery just taken and be replaced with a fresh one. It only takes just over a minute with the replacement and startup.
I'd buy one with an S Pen and removable battery.
