iPhone OS 3.0 hides a promise of video recording on iPhone 2009 - read the full textThe iPhone inabilities have been a matter of discussion at least as much as its virtues. Unfortunately, video recording (or better yet the lack of it) has often been a subject of criticism. But that will surely become a thing of the past since the developer's beta of iPhone OS 3.0 is supposedly...

Worms in your apples guys? Lol why bother trying to make something more than it seem? The iphone is over rated wash out ur eyes and the dust from your underused brains and you will be able to start to notice. Why call iphone the jesus phone? I know why its because north america had to deal with so much crap phones it forgot what a phone should be able to do! Seriously, in the past years north america had gotten all the crap refuse. Now when all the retards see the iphone screen with the flashy icons they all become hipnotised and start drooling. The iphone is the jesus phone for our side of the world, the rest of the world past that technology years ago. There is also the issue that iphone appeal to retards with a below average intellect. In my school the few guys wit an iphone are the ones who would eat there name on an apple. The interface appeals to them bcoz their brain is prematurely developed and so bright colorful stuff attract them, yes, like how it attracts toddlers. Both the os and the device is crippled i have never seen such a device with so few Api before. If u understood anything that i wrote their is hope for you yet, mayb a brain transplant will do. I am off to play with my 5800xm

> In reply to jaSz @ 2009-04-19 12:09 from m}9e - click to readWe sell 8-10 iPhones a week, 5-6 Blackberry Storms no 5800's at all, 1-2 N96's 4-5 N95 8GB, 5-6 E71's, 8-10 6210's, all on contracts.

The RRP of the 5800 with 'comes with music' is exactly the same as an iPhone 3G 16GB, we don't sell them yet.

Most of the iPhone sales come from people who see their friends using them.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-04-15 09:28 from qb09 - click to readI speak for myself, i'm a salesman in the mobile industry for about 6 years now, i can tell you that my store sells about 5 units of NK5800 per week, and sells about 2 units of iphones per week.

Prices: NK5800 - €364,00
Apple's iPhone 3G - €609,90

60% of the costumers say: "Since i can't afford the iPhone i'll take the Nokia handset..."

So, IMHO iPhone is still better but the price is very high, the economics aren't good in Europe so the sales are dropping, i guess if Apple launches a new iPhone in June 2009 as expected they will beat the sales record of every handset sold ever 'till today.

Here's the statement from Nokia of how many 5800 devices were sold.

"Nokia also claims that in the last quarter they sold 2.8 million units of the popular touch-based 5800 XpressMusic".

So there, it is not 13 million as what some silly Nokia fans would want to believe or would want us to believe, HAHAHAHAHA. 13 million shipped, not sold =)

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-04-15 14:05 from n7fJ - click to readTurns out that the verbiage used on the 12 or 13million units for Nokia 5800 is "shipped" not "sold". How pathetic of Nokia fans, or even of Nokia, to even release such a statement on the number of units shipped out in the hopes that the readers would think of it as sold units, LOL. Well Nokia probably knows that most of their users are dumb in english, so this would be a good way to tricking them to believe that the 5800 sold 13mil units, when actually it's the number of units SHIPPED not sold =)

So should everyone get one of those instead of all these other phone's?

Also, Nokia 5800 is a cheap alternative for the iphone, so I will not be surprised if those people who cannot afford to buy the iphone bought the 5800 instead. It doesn't matter. It's still an inferior phone compared to the Iphone.

"According to Rob, it took just a two months to sell 12 million more and surpass the whooping 13 million sold devices overall which makes it even more popular than the Jesus phone, as Apple has sold 17 million of phones including sales of both the original iPhone and iPhone 3G but in the period of 16 months, according to the company's vice president of iPod and iPhone product marketing."

12 million in 2 months!

Bye bye iphone!

In Australia the 5800 Express Music costs $A500 more to have it, that puts it at the same price as an iPhone 16GB, the 8GB costs less.

Talk about fleecing consumers, $A10 a week for "free" music!

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-04-14 02:15 from kgSv - click to readYou asked, "who cares?". That is another dumb question. If we don't care, then none of us would be here. And excuse me, the iphone destroyed the N95, and not the other way around. You are not making sense. 3G signals do not discriminate. The iphone does not own 3G signals, lol. If your Nokia phone is capable to receive 3G signals, then it is, so stop making excuses for Nokia's incompetence.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-04-14 02:26 from kgSv - click to readYou ask us if we are into phones? What a dumb question. Wouldn't all of us be on here if we're not into phones? Iphone is the most usable and practical smartphone. Unlike other phone manufacturers, It does not fool consumers by hyping mega pixels and making people think that to be a great smartphone you need high mega pixels. That is such a messed up notion of how a smartphone should be. You complain about the iphone not including features on the 3g that should've been on there. Well Apple is including a lot of those missing features in there for free, so what are you complaining about? And what is strange about the iphone missing several features. Other phone manufacturers also deliberately exclude features as well and then introduce a new model a couple of months later. Can you give us an example of a phone that has every desired feature that you want? Maybe we're missing something here? Because right now I cannot comprehend how messed up your logic and mentality is.

I have always been anti apple and always been a Nokia fan. But since using and playing with the iphone i wont waste my time with troublesome N series overrated nokia phones ever again. And as for touch screen phones the iphone has mastered it and kicks ass, and i send at least 500 smses a week. And if you want to take photos buy a camera. They are cheap enough.
