It's so they don't have to explain calls to hookers on business trips to the accounts department or their wife.
Welcome to the real world, my friend.

Anonymous, 11 Apr 2009So how do you get the SIM out without taking the battery out and using the plectrum (I assume ... moreLol so true. with 500$ i can buy nearly 65 cds here, which would give me around 650 songs. i'm not counting the discount, sale where the price are slashed upto 75%. and yeah i don't have to pay data charges additionally for downloading. also the cds which i can buy would give me high quality audio compared to 64/128 bit audio available through download.
Anonymous, 11 Apr 2009Yes you can do that with nokia as well..., you change to offline in system menu so the GSM sim... moreI don't get that switching SIMS stuff. I don't think a lot of people do that, not here in the US anyway. As for costs. I think we all pay carriers for services no matter what. AT&T charges a little bit extra because of the 3G data plan and the unlimited internet access for the iphone. Does Nokia get those for free? I don't think so. Wifi yes, but wifi is also free on the iphone. We can also get free songs for our iphone. Have you ever heard of Limewire? Yes, it's free. The quality though is not as high as the paid ones on itunes. But hey, that's what you get for being cheap. There's also VOIP apps for free on the iphone. There's also an application that lets you send free SMS for the iphone. Instead of MMS, you can email photos for no additional charge on the iphone. How do you send free SMS and MMS on your Nokia device? Internet on the Nokia is free? Hmmm, how? Wifi right? LOL. Your low IQ amuses me.

Anonymous, 10 Apr 2009piss off iphone fanboys you know that you're gonna stick with another low quality phone that u... moreYou make me laugh. Why would we be jealous of your HD phone? I mean it's cool I guess to have a phone that can record HD especially if you do not own a digital camera, but most people don't go out recording videos every day. And if I need to, I have a digital camera that can record in HD as well, and would for sure have BETTER results than your HD phone. So why would we be jealous? I don't get it. I'd be jealous if your Samsung HD device can outperform my iphone's UI and beat my Canon's picture and video quality. Until that happens...nah, I'm happy with my iphone.
Anonymous, 11 Apr 2009Yes you can do that with nokia as well..., you change to offline in system menu so the GSM sim... moreSo how do you get the SIM out without taking the battery out and using the plectrum (I assume you're using the 5800 as no other Nokias have a sort of external SIM tray) to push the drawer out from the inside.
The iPhone has Airplane mode too, which is called 'Offline' in Nokia's but I don't have to switch my iPhone to it, I just take my other SIM and a paperclip from my wallet, pop the drawer and swap it then put it back.
FREE MUSIC!!! Come on, the Nokia 5800 without 'Comes with music' retails for $A474 in Australia with 'Comes with music' it's $A974...
...$A500 ain't my idea of 'free'.
Besides the camera on the 5800 is generally acknowledged as one of the worst ones out there!
Just face it Nokia's just don't have the functionality I'm after.
Ups, nobody is talking here anymore, the King is here..lol!
I forgot to mention that some phones is not possible to change simcard without switching off the phone, it's because the simcard lays underneath battery pack, but nokia 5800xm can do that easy, just puting peace of tape in the back of the simcard to be able to pull simcard out!
