AnonD-135230, 13 Jun 2014LG claims that their G3 QHD screen uses less power than the 1080p screen in their G2.No it does not and no they do not
SVD, 13 Jun 2014I can't believe LG would mess up its sales of G3 with 801 SoC with these rumors. If this is in... moreOr........... They released the G3 in Asia only first with the 801 SOC on purpose, which we all know has sold extremely well oversees. Only to use all of that profit to market the G3 with 805 for the rest of the world. All they need is good marketing. Maybe thats the profit they will use for marketing
AnonD-215925, 13 Jun 2014xd they released first at last in korea no matter who announced firstI'm not referring to who announced first either. The Oppo Find 7 was "released" in May, not just announced. That includes availability in Korea as well.
AnonD-135230, 13 Jun 2014LG claims that their G3 QHD screen uses less power than the 1080p screen in their G2.Hope those who claim QHO is useless don't buy this kind of phone in the future, otherwise they will slap in their own faces.
I hope this is not true. I just bought an Xperia Z2. Damn you, Moore and your stupid law!
magikarp, 13 Jun 2014Or you can remove the useless QHD display wich only drains battery and makes it slow?LG claims that their G3 QHD screen uses less power than the 1080p screen in their G2.

LG claimed to be the first 'major' manufacturer to bring out a QHD device with wide regional availability, it was right there in they're keynote for the G3.
The 801 is a fantastic SoC and on any 1080p device is more than capable, but it's not up to driving QHD displays, the G3 will get by for the moment because most content (games and video) is rendered 1080p. But as soon as this changes the G3 will start to look very sluggish indeed, LG know this, they just weren't patient enough to wait for the 805.
Or you can remove the useless QHD display wich only drains battery and makes it slow?
SVD, 13 Jun 2014I can't believe LG would mess up its sales of G3 with 801 SoC with these rumors. If this is in... more"If not - LG is crazier than Samsung, Samsung at least tricked millions of people into buying S5 and denied S5 Prime rumors before bitchslapping everyone with Galaxy F."
Tricked? Where is this Galaxy F you are speaking of? Has it been released? Samsung announced its release? And, is the same as the S5 or an entirely different phone?
Lex79, 13 Jun 2014Proof that LG rushed the G3 to market just so that they could claim to be first with a QHD screen. "Proof that LG rushed the G3 to market just so that they could claim to be first with a QHD screen."
That would be true if LG was actually the first. But they weren't so you are wrong. And LG never claimed to be the first with a QHD screen. There a couple of phones with a QHD screen that was released before the G3.
The 805 doesn't have an integrated modem.
FreezeGame, 13 Jun 2014And they still weren't. Lol. http://www.gsmarena.com/oppo_find_7-6214.phpNo, but they did claim to be the first of the 'major' manufacturer's to have QHD. And the first with wide scale availability, the Oppo is only available in some regions at present.

And the failure of the G3 begins...shame.
Should have been advertised with the 805 from the start. Now, the original, mediocre performing G3 will be cannibalized, suffering even lower sales than it already was going to.
Too bad LG. Life's not so good after all, huh?
