Anyone know the width? Will it fit a standard shirt pocket?
I like this variety much better than their old ones where the keyboard took more space than the screen, and the HW looks to be pretty good as well.
Going by the lack of numbers and punctuation symbols on the keyboard i'd have to disagree with the articles opinion about sub standard typing. You most probably wont need to hit the alt key to type numbers (they'll probably be on the touch screen) so it should be the fastest typing experience yet.
OMG!
Poor Blackberry.

And Android is sometimes expensive because they do modification to it but you can't modify Windows 8.1 but Windows is more secure just like BB OS but Android don't even know what is security. Apps can even change your personal settings..
But most of the Blackberry official users switched to Windows phone specially in Europe.
They should have reduced the price of the Z30 and then they would have got some sales but keeping the Z30 expensive is a dumb move. When the price of the Z10 came down they sell like Indian hot cakes. I only hope this passport will push down the Z30 price then I will buy it.

I bet you wouldn't even look twice at BlackBerry if they did switch to Android. There is too much competition from Samsung and china phones, look at what it is doing to Sony and HTC.
AnonD-237306, 29 Jun 2014And with this device the last nail in the BlackBerry coffin is struck. Rest in peace.i can find trolls saying the same thing back from 2011. cant you guys be a little more original and say something a bit different every time BlackBerry releases a new product? i mean c'mon give it a rest and get a life
I love blackberry, had the bold 9000 for more than a year, then curve 9830, then the z10... but i cannot even look at this phone without wincing involuntarily. It's ugly, sorry but there's no other word for it. Typing doesn't look too comfortable either.

The Era of Qwerty is over. People who desire different UI and different types of apps (video/audio/email/webbrowsing/games/) do not need a keypad fixed. Rather they remove the keypad and just make a bigger screen.
I like it. I'm gonna get one for my secondary phone.

The writer might have said the same thing about the Galaxy Note when it first came out as well. BB only drawback is it's lack of apps compared to Apple and Android. If it can improve on the app side it's game on, i believe. The BB keyboard is still way better than that found on any touchscreen in my opinion. This device and specs looks fantastic.

If they released an international version even I probably would have bought one! Also don't forget they made three Vu's, so the first two must have achieved some success in their local market for Lg to make the third.
Although I'm not interested to buy this phone, I can see Blackberry's direction with this device and with all the recent NSA fallout Blackberry could try to rebuild its empire in the business sector with security in mind. The big thing as I previously mentioned is, I hope they didn't make it too big to fit into the *inside* pocket of a suit jacket

Compared to the iPhone it looks a little...wide.
Brings pockability into question; will it fit into the pants and suit jacket pockets of the market their trying to target like their previous devices?
Guys, BB are the best in physical keyboards!
I used to type with physical keyboard not virtual.
For me I like the BB 10 as it contains everything you need.
