Is this story a Samesung promotion? Embarrassingly, the iPhone 5c outsells the Galaxy S5 in every major market. That's a phone with two year old hardware.
Moreover, both the iPhone 5s and 5c have been available for 10 months now, and are still the top two selling phones in most countries with Samesung's latest reheated design in third place. Meanwhile Sammy's executives are projecting a third quarterly decline in profits due to a saturated and weakening market.
FreezeGame, 02 Jul 2014Catch up to what? Android overtook iOS as the most popular mobile platform across the world... moreovertook what? didnt it say in the new is samsung lag? people really love with ios but so much android fan cant buy because its expensive.. they are poor
AnonD-279399, 02 Jul 2014Apple is just allowing Samsung to catch up.
Catch up to what?
Android overtook iOS as the most popular mobile platform across the world long ago. At this point, Android’s lead is insurmountable.
There is no coming back. Apple is all but finished.

Yeah, samsung, lols. So now Apple is actually making bigger phones. LOLS!
Chuck, 02 Jul 2014Says who? Samsung? Yeah.. right...Nope, not from Samsung. These are the results from the data collected by Kantar Worldpanel ComTech through their research.
Android destroys Apple in every market but China (where the margin is very close 51.7%:47%).

It's only fitting that iPhone users are waking up and switching over to the superior side. This is going to be an ongoing situation as more people get fed up with being locked down and restricted to select choices.

fonhunter, 02 Jul 2014As more and more content gets available online, people would want to have bigger screens. Its ... moreIts the story of Mr. Cupertino
Anonymous, 02 Jul 2014Android is as safe as iOS, hell iOS got hacked recently that locked people out of their phones... moreiOS can fix issue with simple update. android cannot.. gonna wait slowly for updates.
Apple is just allowing Samsung to catch up.
Zack, 02 Jul 2014Well, a large nice bright screen, that is fast, and a great camera, will do this, in simple te... moreAndroid is as safe as iOS, hell iOS got hacked recently that locked people out of their phones :p don't tell me you missed that gsm post
Wait wait wait, if 22.1% of all phones are iPhone 5s/c and 9% are Galaxy S5, that means iPhone 5s/c represent 24.2% of all phones that's not Galaxy S5.
26% of new S5 owner switched from iPhone which is about the same rate as iPhone's market share at 24.2% so iPhone users are not switching at a higher rate as the headline would suggest.
In fact, if older iPhones take up 5% of the market, iPhone users are switching at a lower rate than market average.
Isn't statistic fun?
Says who? Samsung? Yeah.. right...
As more and more content gets available online, people would want to have bigger screens. Its just a matter of time that apple will make phones with bigger screen phones.
My wife have an iphone, and yes it lags at times and the bad thing was it died after 1 week of use and she had it replaced.
Chupacabra, 02 Jul 2014No surprise. iPhone 6 will finally get a larger display but it won't be the superior SAMOLED.... moreTake a look at the amount of available RAM on your android phone. You'll be surprised.
If they were shifting to htc One(m8 or even m7) i would've suspected apple lost it's customers, but Galaxy S5 lol..!!!! Awful build quality, awful laggy bloated touchwiz, hangs on the lockscreen... Sooner or later they gonna come back... My poor friend who bought s5 right from the day one he's depressed for spending so much money on a crap ( over here phones are unlocked).
With all those apple limitations, it won't make Android users to switch. Bluetooth transfer has been around for 15 years and IOS doesn't support it unless it's another IOS device, that's just stupid.... Drag-and-drop, a file explorer, a memory card, A FREAKIN' PROPER USB PORT! to name a few more..
django, 02 Jul 2014What percent of Samsung/android users r moving to iPhone? That's the elephant in the room that they conveniently neglect to mention. The glaring problems with this report os that they only focus on people switching to Samsung during the introductory month of the GS5. They mention that the 5s and 5c outsell the GS5, but they don't mention the stats for those. What kind of report focuses on the third best selling device? Also, they never seem to release these in the 4th quarter, the busiest and most important quarter and also the quarter that is closest to the newest iPhone's release. I expect the iHaters to lap up this kind of news without any sort of critical thinking though.
I have a friend barely holding on. He is a hardcore apple fan and will go to no lengths to defend apple but lately he's been going on about screen sizes. Was ready to switch over to the HTC One but then he heard about iphone 6 screen size and now he won't shutup about it...
To me, it make senses. With all those limitation and control, i would rather get an android though sometimes a bit laggy.
Nowadays, laggy issues not really an issue to most android phones like Note 3.
Also iPhone is not completely free from laggy issue too.
My points is i am ok to be able to do more with my phone with a bit lag than having a phone which is slightly faster but do so much lesser.
Still using iPhone didn't switch to S5
What percent of Samsung/android users r moving to iPhone?
