Personally, I think Samsung phones are overpriced. Only Apple can charge premium with premium quality and design and yet people still buy - be it iSheep or normal consumers - they all love Apple. Only geeks who look at high end spec go for Samsung.

This is probably due to the fact that Samsung, in their infinite wisdom, announced the upcoming, more premium F shortly after the S5 was released. So, naturally, customers are holding off on buying the S5 till they see how much better/more expensive the F will be. Not a very smart strategy by Samsung, I would say!
iPhone is King, 16 Jul 2014iPhone 5S still the best. No matter how you argue or joke. iPhone 5S takes the cake. 1. ... moreI concur with you Sir: Even on social network a picture taken from iphone you can see it very clear than a picture taken from other phones. Iphone My Second Religion
Samsung made a silly mistake for making Galaxy S5 with plastic...thicker, heavier than Galaxy s4 and almost equal screen size! Customers wud hav appreciated better a Galaxy S5 of premium metal, 5 to 5.2" screen, lesser bezels top and bittom (like Galaxy! Note 3), a well-designed back cover without a bulging camera...keeping all the amazing inerds! In business, the customer is always the king...as Apple and htc has learned this lesson now, jettisoning their arrogance and pride. I only fear for Samsung that Galaxy S5 wud not be their undoin....as it is turning out to be now! Once, customers shift base, it wud take extra efforts to appease them. I wish Samsung the best in their future endeavours.
In Australia I was looking at some new mobiles. Telstra or Optus but they all want to flog the S5. Why - main because of the higher overall margin to them, that is the main reason why they are so expensive. Frankly I found the S5 over rated for what it actually can do. So when I was traveling overseas to HK I bought 3 Z30 Blackberrys for business. Why? The Os is far better for business and I dont play games all day. The experience is good with best battery, signal, reception, sound and ease of use. I dont regret not buying the S5.
I agree with the analysis and with the latest posts. I've already written yesterday that I have the feeling that Samsung lost its magic. The market has changed as well as the preferences of the buying audience. Samsung didn't follow this change it seems and like mentioned in this article the name "galaxy" has been around for too long and for too many different levels. While it has been a key factor for the initial success of Samsung they should have changed their strategy by now.
The reaction of the failing iPhone c5 is justified as well although it isn't the design that flaunted every hope of success but the created anticipation of a budget iPhone while at the release of it it was clear that this phone was not priced accordingly. It's far too expensive and not exclusive enough for the already huge mass of iPhone adepts. Apple just made a huge marketing mistake or it has become so arrogant that it believed that they could sell whatever for whatever price.
This arrogance is probably the only similarity between Samsung and Apple but then on different levels.
Waiting for iPhone 6? What are you anticipating? A bigger screen size with merely nothing changed as specs? It won't be that much of an upgrade, just like all of their products. Want a bigger screen? Buy an iPad. The design apparently won't be that different from the 5s. And you're here attacking Samsung. Where there any changes to the design in 4, 4s, 5 and 5s. See? 4 models, same design. Slight improvements don't count. At least Samsung is upgrading its specs, more noticeably the camera and resolution.
Samsung does not listen to the consumers.
I think the size that matters. Flagship with screen over 5" is too big. They have already big screen phones like Note if fanboys are size hungry. Flagship should be powerful but in 4.5" - 4.7" standart.
Sammy fails in many ways including flooding the market with poor design of mid and low end galaxy smartphones.
Maybe this is time for Sammy to change the leadership by removing the current CEO.
How comes no ones picking on how bad the iPhone 5c is doing?? Double standards!
i was looking forward to the s5 but somehow felt underwhelmed when it arrived from my s4, i had however already heard rumours long before the s5 was released about the so called galaxy F or the so called premium version, i simply didnt buy the s5 for the reason, i am considering either the note 4 and considering if the new premium samsung model before buying next, i do love the note series, but till note 3 i felt they were to big for my daily usage, i was wrong! when i got the note 3 as it is a killer phone so will be looking forward to the next model.
Miike Hunt, 16 Jul 2014Hopefully this has taught Samsung a lesson; don't rely on brand name alone to get sales. Th... moreI had the s1 2 3 skipped the 4 got a mega for gaming and net flix. I got the s5 the other day and it awesome i cant compare it to the 4 because i didnt have one but just the fact that its waterproof sold me cause im at the waterpark with my kids all the time. But what all this really boils down to is self preference

1. ... moreThis is the most nonsense I have read in a long time and is quite apparent you have never ever used a phone from a manufacturer other than Apple.
Everything you list as a an Apple desire can be equaled or bettered on another platform (not just Android, but even Windows Phone can top iOS in some of those things). And since when had being able to easily upgrade storage with a micro SD card been a bad thing?
There area few things that the iPhone has that can't bettered though (and it's not build quality, despite that 'premium' price tag). No, the reason why the iPhone continues to sell well is a loyal fan base, and image. And no amount of money spent by Samsung, HTC, Sony etc. can change those in the short term.
Maybe the S5 is just a notch to big, with it's 5,1" screen.
Few want's a mini-tablet as phone.
Hopefully this is a wake-up call for Android phone makers.
STOP MAKING THEM BIGGER...
Would love to see a S5 powerful phone with a 3-4" screen.
As it's now, a 4,5" screen Android phone is called a Mini!
