If MS wants to win the game, they'd really have to tie everything around the main OS..like it or not yes I'm talking about "7".Almost all of my WinMo using buddies can't understand why MS won't or can't coordinate and streamline a simultaneous launch for a complete OS ecosystem.Why?1 thing that Apple did RIGHT and had made the pieces fall into place for them is the fact that their users didn't really have to deal with the "cross-platform anxiety",experience-wise with their implementation of the mobile OS X in accordance to UI and apps' feasibility.Having that said it's a BAD idea to completely play the "sell apps as TOP PRIORITY" route.Gimping hardware designs against the likes of major players such as Nokia,Samsung or SE are just asking for doom. From a consumer point of view even at smartphones, it's an easy choice for an average Joe to pick between 2 600 dollar phones with 1 lacking on hardware spec sheet. Why the hell would anyone pick a 600 dollar with lesser multimedia features dollar for dollar?ONLY IF they're completely new to smartphones.Last I checked, people who are "productive" DOES NOT spend minutes let alone hours on funny/funky bubbles' apps. They just want a phone capable enough to shoot proper charts, documents, photos and possibly some prototype drafts' vids with ample editing capabilities.

Well I guess, it'd have been great to see MICROSOFT trash appl, if it had did come out with a zune phone.
I mean think about it guys,
2.6" touchsceen, 3G, wi-fi, Bluetooth, cam(not really req), good support for 3rd party apps., at a really affordable price, and we've already got a winner in our hands. Only they gotta make the Multimedia features outta this world.

> In reply to Alex @ 2009-05-13 11:38 from D8XA - click to readYes to some consumers no replaceable battery matters. Some people do not want to accept they need to send their phone away and be without a phone because the battery is not holding charge anymore.

If 8/16GB was enough then the touch would not go higher than 16GB. Then the iPhone would not come out with a 32GB version.

Let me add to that list:

Crappy Speakers
Crappy Camera, no autofocus, no flash.

> In reply to fonedude @ 2009-05-13 06:46 from j5WS - click to readA year ago, before the iPhone was released in Australia I was paying $A30 for 100Mb of data, now as part of my iPhone plan I pay $A20 for 1Gb of data, it actually costs LESS to have an iPhone.

Like the rest of your ignorant comments it's rubbish.

With stuff like this continously being posted people whine about iPhone users correcting other's ignorance!

Microsoft is in over their head. If they drop a ZunePhone, it will drop guaranteed. Mark my words. Microsoft makes some of the most unreliable equipment in the world. And their Windows Mobile is the worst phone OS on the market. I have an iPhone and a HTC Fuze and I can honestly say that if Windows Mobile wasn't on my Fuze I would love it a whole lot more.
