Vodafone UK to offer free roaming calls and messages this summer

Beware! There is always a catch with Vodafone. It is not exactly the same as when you are at home. If you subscribe to their evening and weekend "Stop the Clock" service (1 hour for only three of your free minutes) or the "Family and Friends" service, they don't count.

I found this out to my cost after a recent holiday in France, despite checking with customer services before I went and being incorrectly told that STC was included.

Vodafone is just copying Zain. Zain has had this for a while now and just released data roaming within the "One Network" which covers Africa and the Middle East

It's a good thing it's over your summer as I work for Vodafone in Australia and we sell a lot of SIM's and phones to UK tourists in our summer.

@moe

Way to go VF_UK!
Can't wait our guys in Greece to apply it.
I am the daily administrator of a VF Corporate Client.
Talking about 285 + connections.
When I read the news comming from EU, I reroiced at it and so do we all.
So far, our local VF has not released any official statement.
The patience of Job then...all good things come to those who wait...
The sad thing is that millions of people had to wait for decades...the amounts spent...OH GOD...it has been a real rip off...pity and shame...

Well, I do work for Vodafone and all I need to do now is clarify 1 little thing.
You NOT ONLY will get no extra charges, but VODAFONE PASSPORT is totally for FREE and you'll get charged NOTHING for using it.
Amazing huh ?!!
