LG Optimus L9. Looks exactly the same
So that means Google caved and gave Samsung what they wanted (what ever it was). Soo... until the next blackmail then.
Sammy is dying soon. Their sales is seriously declined.
They have no choice but keep on pouring the market with low quality devices.
Z, 29 Jul 2014Samsung Z? What's next, Samsung G (from LG G series)? then Samsung One (HTC One series).No. LG made the Samsung G2, G Pro/Pro 2 and put LG Touchwiz on them already

Sounds to me the hardware and software of the Tizen smartphone is finished and ready for release but one thing is holding Samsung back. Or should I say "someone".
I don't get the point in Sammy pushing on with Tizen when it basically looks like a straight rip off of Android - David and Goliath, only this time the odds are massively against the little guy...
vijayshimla, 29 Jul 2014After dumping Millions of BADA owners like me..midway without an oar..Sammy seems to have auda... morei owned the S8500 bada phone. great phone but sadly let down by samsung. even after this i wish Samsung good luck. sick of android requiring high end hardware
Honestly at the rate that Android is progressing each year, I think Phone makers should just say Uncle when it comes to developing more Linux-based Mobile OSes. What there is a need for is to support existing exciting platforms like Ubuntu for Phones and Firefox OS, the former is a full-fledged desktop OS running on a phone and the latter is culmination of OpenWeb ethos.
Personally I'd rather see Samsung drop Tizen and go with Ubuntu, so many more features, and you'll literally have a dockable PC in your pocket.
The era of in-house Closed source being king is coming to an end, sure we'll still have iOS and WP around in 5-6 years, but even they have opened up immensely to developers, they're not Open Sourced, but licensing aside, they are definitely not the same constrained developing environments they were 1 or 2 years ago.
AnonD-273963, 29 Jul 2014This looks 80 percent like the LG OPTIMUS LTE 2 F160.
Like, its almost same..It indeed looks like an optimus....
But Optimus UI looks like Touchwiz and most of the G line and almost all of the mod range line looks like Galaxy.
This looks 80 percent like the LG OPTIMUS LTE 2 F160.
Like, its almost same..
After dumping Millions of BADA owners like me..midway without an oar..Sammy seems to have audacity to try to put out its own eco system..like tizen..but once bitten twice shy public will never buy a Sammy phone with its home grown Tizen..
Scrapsung!
Uhhhhh. if they don't release the device, there will never be any apps for it. Who would develop an app for an OS that has no devices. This is worse than Windows's problem
Many people are mistaking Tizen OS for MeeGo. Tizen is the revamped Bada with elements from Intel inside. The people who worked on the original MeeGo project moved on and formed a company called Jolla after Nokia under the rule of Stephen Elop decided to have Windows Phone as the primary OS for their devices. The company Jolla was funded under the bridge program of Nokia. Jolla unveiled the successor to MeeGo 1 year ago and it is called Sailfish OS and within one year, the company has pushed 8 updates if I remember correctly. Sailfish is out of beta state being only a year old.
