I'm excited to update my iphone to 3.0. I only care for copy/paste and landscape keyboard among all of the add ons. The improved software for the camera is a good addition as well though. BTW, the iphone only has a 2mp camera, but I do use it every once in a while to take pics, and it does take decent quality pics that I cannot really complain about. Those who are making a big deal of the iphone's camera like a camera on a phone is their life, are just bitter and jealous people who cannot afford the iphone and its expensive plan.

Hi everybody,
Does anybody know if this jewel comes on the market on the 17th July or it will be just presented by Apple and will arrive to the shops later?

Children, stop the bickerring. IT'S A PHONE!!! If you like it, good for you, if you don't, it's cool. We each have different needs in the phones we use so lets just drop the arguement. This phone is good for some, others not so good.

Apple is new to the mobile phone business, they take their time because they want everything to work well, not like some of the patched up botched up jobs we've seen from other manufacturers, who will often release half finished efforts.

at least SE received firmware updates time to time, not once every year, and take 2 years for a firmware to add basic functions

no wonder they call it iPhone OS 3.0, theyll be ashamed if its called a firmware!

sony erricsson 12mp has a great camera but shoddy software and will deffinately breakdown on you at least the iphone software is easy to replace at home unlike sony ericsson which is a lil more complicated and shoddy with the updates

No phone can come anywhere close, which is why professional photographers don't use them.

I don't take professional photo's, I just enjoy using the camera I have and the people who I share my photo's with enjoy them too, they don't care what camera was used they care about the content.

Now back to the professional part, as you obviously misunderstood, the iPhone is a mobile computer you can install image editing software on it, some of that software contains professional filters as used in programs like photoshop, you know what filters are?

They process digital images to apply various effects.

You can even get software for the iPhone that let's you put Photoshop toolbars on your screen and assign shortcuts so you can control Photoshop running on a PC over wifi using the iPhone's touchscreen.

Again who cares about the camera on a phone it's a pointless argument it's like saying the clock in my car is better than the clock in yours, it's irrelevant to the overall experience.

now i imagine the future with people raising up their iphone 3g during press conferences and sporting events.
