> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-05-20 15:10 from M@T2 - click to readBecause unlike other OS, Windows Mobile is designed to be updated so you don't change it 6 months later because a .01 version was just released with a function you want but .01 is only in a brand new phone.
Also Diamond 2 is WinMo6.5 ready. Its 1 of 2 launch devices during the official WinMo6.5 revealing.

What an appalling state of affairs where consumers are supposed to consider it acceptable to be buying into an operating system which is going to be updated, where people take their chances as to whether their device will be eligible for a move to the next software update, and where people welcome a nice front end so as to hide the underlying user interface. And to top it all consider the cost. Why can't windows mobile be like its desktop counterpart, flexible, practical and affordable?

I doubt we will release the phone here in the UK on O2 as it would be seen as a direct competitor to the iPhone. We don't tend to take phones that are targeted at a similar market. (i work for O2 btw)
