AnonD-209094, 01 Aug 2014If anyone bought Z3 for gaming they deserve to be dissatisfied. As for multimedia its good eno... moreYou can install any Android multimedia app and run it on your BB, many of which contains the codecs included in the app.
AnonD-209094, 01 Aug 2014Whats good is the performance, dual core sounds lame nowadays but for BB10 it is more than eno... moreMuch of what you say is not true.
When you close an application in BB10 the processes associated with the application are closed. They are only still running when the application is "swiped up" to minimize it.
In those instances where an application does hang you can go into the Application manager in "Settings". There you can see the tab for "Memory" and see what is still running and using memory. Tap on any application listed and at the bottom of the screen there is a "close" icon. Rebooting the device to close an app is unnecessary.
You are not forced to log into BBM or even use it for that matter. I owned the Z10 and now own the Z30 and have never used BBM on either. Aside from the battery life and smaller screen on the Z10 I was happy with that phone and the only complaint I have on the Z30 is the camera could be a bit better.
Sounds like you don't know your Z10 as well as you should.
This illustrates the point why there's a featurephone market and that smartphones aren't for everyone. Most people don't take the time to learn how to use their phone properly and the more features in a phone makes it less likely a person will take the time to learn. I'm not picking on you, it's just a fact.
Ask 5 random people who own an Android phone if they know how to close apps running in the background and you'll find that at least one doesn't know (closing is accomplished by holding down the home button and then swiping aside the app you want to close from the list of running apps appearing on the screen).
As far as I'm concerned, BOS 10 is the best OS on the market right now (comparing to Android, IOS and WP). It's the most secure, has the best search capabilities availabile, is the most efficient, can run native Android apps and has all the features one could want. Best of all, it has never "frozen" on me in the 18 months I've been using BOS 10 (first with the Z10 and now with the Z30) and I use many different Blackberry and Android applications on the phone.
Hello! Z3 when coming to Singapore?
I'm Indonesian and have Z3, it's still hard to find Z3 here, especially at a "normal" price at about US$ 200, because of the very high demand and lack of supply, I disappointed that BB lunch the device in other countries while the demand in Indonesia is still so high while the supply can't seem to keep up, I got my Z3 at US$ 240, and it's the best deal I can find around here :(
Not sure why people on this site have to write such lies in regards to BlackBerry? Search any Indonesian tech site and the response to the lower end Z3 has been very positive. It's great for BlackBerry and BB10. (BB10 is not the same operating system that a few have been commenting on here)Can't wait for the Passport to arrive in Canada. Really glad Rogers is testing it already.
AnonD-71734, 01 Aug 2014I guess that's no surprise as it is also priced over $200 here in South Africa. I hear what yo... moreIt's $300 usd at Game.
"he didn't share specific numbers" LOL. whom is he trying to fool,to the newspaper or himself?no one gives a damn about blackberry for long time in India. moreover the funniest thing is z3 is costlier here than the z10 which was so called flagship, and is with better specs.
AnonD-71734, 01 Aug 2014I guess that's no surprise as it is also priced over $200 here in South Africa. I hear what yo... moreThe 9360 is an old model. I have more problems on my iPhone 5 than my wife has on her z10 so I don't know what to say....
I guess that's no surprise as it is also priced over $200 here in South Africa. I hear what you are saying about the BB issues, my BB 9360 (current phone) gives me hell - only good for the BIS. I asked thinking that BB had stepped up their game but it's become apparent that that is not the case, what a shame as the Z3 looks good in terms of design. Oh well, my search continues, thanx for the info guys.
BB has been dead for a long time.
Now BB is a living dead and it's phone Zombie 3(Z3)is used by zombies.
It is not priced under 200$ in India. Its prize is around 250$
200$? Get real. Its over 200$ here on Indonesia
No trolling - deliberately antagonizing other brand/model users
MCRL, 01 Aug 2014Here you go again, I always see your post on every BlackBerry article. Can't accept the fact t... moreIts still crap, cant you accept that? Im a BB user and i admit i got fooled, had no idea it was so terrible. These are all facts from a real user.
Actually i want an iPhone next, at least they give you some personal control and respect privacy (can disable iMessage and Facetime) but 5s has too low res and no NFC (and a tad too small display) and iphone 6 is longer than many 5 inch phones, dont want. I think i have to go back to Android even if i really dont like it, KitKat is the biggest dung ever but i guess i can live with the Z3. Yes, that is Xperia Z3 (Compact of course) and not BB Z3.
By the way, im not one-sided negative to BB phones, everyone can see from my previous post that i give credit where it is deserved. Facts are still facts, sorry (not really) you dont like the truth then.
AnonD-209094, 01 Aug 2014Whats good is the performance, dual core sounds lame nowadays but for BB10 it is more than eno... moreHere you go again, I always see your post on every BlackBerry article. Can't accept the fact that BB is now rising and gaining pupolarity do you?
Whats good is the performance, dual core sounds lame nowadays but for BB10 it is more than enough to make it smoother than midrange quadcore Androids. But its not for gamers or app lovers, Android games will often work and are easy to install but advanced Android games and apps are no go, even some simple ones will not work.
That said, BB10 has disadvantages, its insanely slow to boot and does not give you control over processes, if something gets messed up you cant end the process to clear things up, reboot is required sometimes and it takes time, lots of time.
Lack of control is a general problem with BB10, making users feel somewhat screwed. The worst is BBM, they will forcibly log you in and you can never ever log out again, you cant disable or uninstall BBM, you cant even go invisible, you are stuck there for the lifetime of your phone. A very serious breech of privacy. What you can do is delete your BB ID from the phone but then you cannot use the phone for other than basic stuff, it will be quite useless without the BB ID.
I have a BB Z10 and do not recommend BB phones to anyone, i feel like i been scammed, it was a big mistake to buy BB. Makes no sense that BB is screwing its already very few users, like they have too many?
AnonD-286474, 01 Aug 2014Weird, user reviews mostly show dissatisfaction in India. Its good for phone side purposes ... moreIf anyone bought Z3 for gaming they deserve to be dissatisfied. As for multimedia its good enough but the lack of 3rd party video players/codecs will be a problem for people downloading from suspicious sources.
AnonD-71734, 01 Aug 2014It looks like a good phone and they got it here in South Africa. Wondering if I should get it ... moreactually this phone will hard to sell in malaysia because mi note already selling here with just 200usd
