I'm buying either this, mi 4, Huawei honor 6, or the A8 golden warrior.

Whichever comes first to the Philippines or if they all become available, the cheapest among them.

Wtf is taking them too damned long?

Effing oneplus is still too expensive and hard to get in the Philippines.

i just bought mi note last week . and i realised what you call it really value for your money and now can figure out Samsung and iphone the huge profit margin earned all this while.
bingo xiomi, if this can go on i believed coming soon you are the biggest market share in the world outbeat samsung and apple.
only minority of iphone and Samsung still continue buying their product.
i was the iphone and Samsung smartphone user for past years now i change to mi phone.

> In reply to HammerHead @ 2014-08-06 15:56 from jeuH - click to readI feel Xiaomi hired Hugo Barra to bring credit, PR, and a familiar face to what otherwise would be just another Chinese mobile manufacturer. A lot of Chinese companies like to get a foreigner on-board just to improve their international image/capacity, Xiaomi just went really big with their choice getting someone from Google. It's more marketing than anything.

Smart move, actually.

In order for Xiaomi to be more international, they should rename it as MI and remove "Xiao".

You'll see the "purest" out there cutting down some of these manufacturers for putting "only" snapdragon 400's, "only" 720p screens etc, but, they are WINNING with sales. People are starting to figure out that a 2k screen with 3gb of ram, and a snapdragon 80x is way overkill. If you take out the bloat, restrictions, locked out features, over zealous carrier or manufacturer UI's, these "slow" devices WORK! I bought a Huawei Ascend Mate2 about 3 weeks ago after seeing positive reviews and I absolutely love it! It replaced an almost 3 year old galaxy note. Screen is crisp and clear, battery is amazing (3 days average), it has no lag, fast and only 300 dollars(US)? What's not to love. As more and more people are waking up to how they are getting screwed by signing up for contracts, just to get an iphone et al, for "less" than 400 dollars, these mid range devices are going to get more and more market share. I've been off contract, with an MVNO for almost 2 years. Comparing a contract, on at&t, with a Galaxy S5, in 24 months it would be $3,425. Using the Huawei, on straight talk, that same 24 month period would be $1,475. That's a savings of almost $2,000 in 2 years, or around $81 dollars a month! Not one issue, same coverage, who wouldn't want to save 81 dollars a month!
