pill klinton, 07 Aug 2014Instead of having non-valued added to extend the display to both sides, why don't Sammy makes ... moreSamsung has a dual display android phone. it failed miserably.
Samsung should stick to their strength and release the normal galaxy note 4 already. or atleast get a phone with flexible display
Impact, 07 Aug 2014Apple fanboys still see the iPhone 6 as the ultimate innovation with its 4.7 inch display. I ... moreWell we're talking about Samsung here. They're not exactly known for competency outside of copying.
TheNeighbor, 08 Aug 2014Apple is not the inventor or the first to implement sapphire screens. But they will be the one's pressuring the others into producing their own sapphire screens. Unfortunately for them it's not going to be so easy with how Apple needed to build a factory to produce these displays. Definitely not going to be easy for Samsung to copy. Hopefully HTC can strike a deal with Apple at acquire some. It'd be awesome to have one on the M9.
The one at Youm demo still have bezels at the side...still need the bezels for sensors.
That's extremely intriguing if true. I'm planning on getting one of these guys. I thought that sounded silly at first but now all I can think about is the possibilities.
[deleted post]The galaxy gear watches from 2013 already use sapphire glass. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Instead of having non-valued added to extend the display to both sides, why don't Sammy makes Dual-Display or Tri-Display Smartphone?
Each display will have size of 6". With Dual or Tri-display, users just need to have a single device to bring around!
So users do not need to buy iPad Mini or galaxy tab 7" or even Google 7"...etc
Oh, finally I see the rationale of latest trends.
"My phone's is bigger"
This is gonna pose a huge challenge for phone case makers. Personally i cant see the point of having wrap-around screens like this. It's bad enough already with the thin bezels of today and accidental screen touches. Would much rather prefer an inverted version of this where the screen curves towards you, not away from (sort of like cupped/bowl effect). This would provide a tad more privacy that today's smartphones and a lot privacy that the handset sketched above
