Four new Nokia phones - big fish at the shores of the US

Four new Nokia phones - big fish at the shores of the US - read the full textNokia have been holding out - they have four new devices headed to the US and they are not rebrandings of old devices. This is certainly uncommon, the US getting a GSM Nokia phone before Europe does. Well, we've seen stranger things happen in the past, so why not. The all four spanking new Nokia...

I agree with Madkat, nokia has not been keeping up with their imaging capable phones. Its seems they felt for some misguided reason that they need to produce their own iphone and have been spending all of their resources to it. They would do much better if they just ignore the stupid apple iphone and focus on making quality mobiles.

you just can't take it, Nokia is the best and it will always be. Nokia doesn't launch her best mobile yet, because nobody does, that is not the point! 3/4 of the mobiles are Nokia and the other mobile phone companies SHARE the other 1/4 of all the phones bought! Nokia is giving every thing that the users want. All people have different needs, and wishes. If you don't like Nokia, DON'T EAT SH*T!

hu,,

this is a public forum and we should not b biased towards any company. the bitter reality is that Samsung, Lg, HTC and Apple are ruling the mobile innovation. NOkia , Motoralla and Sony Ericsson days are over. accept the reality Nokia, SE fans.

high megapixels will have larger picture size and people cant take as much picture with a 3.2 megapixels. phone is still a phone. get a SLR camera if you want quality pictures, not a phone.

All of these phones are "propriety phones".
Which means all of them are LOCKED to specific mobile service providers.

Nokia deserves a 4 thumbs down.

Reason why Nokia ain't sending these phones to Europe first is because they just won't sell over here! So there is some method to their madness I suppose.

Nokia should feel very ashamed. Pathetic handsets, every other phone out there now has 8-12 megapixels, HD screens and recordings. DivX and Xvid support, slim designs and big screens.
And all Nokia has to offer is this!

> In reply to [deleted post]Phones on loan? You mean I'm supposed to return my old phones that are sitting in a box? You really have no sense of reality.

Cellphones in the US are like a pair of socks, you buy what suits your needs and what you like, since everyone has them and nobody cares.

These phones are ok as mid-range phones for the US, since nobody seems to buy Nokia here anymore.

Thresher is an odd name, reminds me of thrasher. Mako seems like a good choice, but it's kinda ugly. Anyway, those phones are definetly mainstream. Nokia should announce more N series phones, or at least something with touchscreen.
