If this then makes it possible for some clever ppl to port a dual boot to my M8 then I may actually wet myself with joy. I love this phone but miss my Windows phones.

Would be great! If they would sell a 'blank' phone and upon the first boot, let the user choose the OS. Couple this with Google's modular phone and you have the future right there!

If the rumour is real, I will definitely replace my Note 3 with the HTC M/W 8. Maybe then I'll stop changing phones and platforms every 3 months (well, phones at least :) )

Awesome! Let's hope Microsoft won't be problematic in case you want to flash Android back to HTC One M8.

For me this should be the future of smartphones. Samsung, HTC, LG just doing amazing HW pieces that can boot both Windows and Android. Right now both OS can use the same processors, so why not leave the user to select whichever OS they want? Or maybe have the option to dual boot things, one day windows, the other Android, the best world i could imagine.
