Software Engineer, 24 Aug 2014Virus prone Java... my God you have no idea what you are talking about. I use WP and I serious... morei'm talking about softwares not the programming language. Slow and Virus laden Java software. Does WP even support java programming language for its app? Now you know one of the secrets to why WP is a safer os :P oh did i forget its a faster OS, light weight OS too (C, C++, C# suppported) :P
Lets just leave Java to the Web and Web browsers
Windows Phone 8.1 > Android. Faster, way less buggy, and consistent.
J2ME user, 23 Aug 2014Well, Nokia is actually down and out, since long already.
Rather this Microsoft Lumia signali... more"Microsoft already lost with Winmobile to Android and IOS"
You are mistaken. Windows Mobile lost to Symbian.
Which is the sole reason why M$ did everything it could to destroy Nokia. First plant a mole, then destroy Symbian, then depreciate Nokia's share value, then buy Nokia cheap and finally sack everybody and ditch the empty box.
you wrote "NOKIA with the usual font is still used at the front" but you forget to see that Microsoft Mobile logo at the inside. So M$ is using the Nokia-logo to fool people into thinking these are still genuine Nokia phones. They aren't!
There's barely anyone left of the former Nokia. The remainders are M$ puppets. Even the pureview team is gone.
Then there's violation of the promises made by Nokia (Symbian support until 2016) and Microsoft turning back on these promises. The closure o/t Nokia store, revoking Symbian and Harmattan sevices etc...
I truly hope that NO ex-Symbian customer buys a Windows Phone device! I definitely WONT!
who knows what will be the price? because if it will be near Lumia 930 it will be too expensive.
It's going to be a nice phone and with the right pricing, it can be a very good higher end Lumia 520 in the way of sales. I am expecting a lot from this device.
N3KO, 24 Aug 2014You must be seeing things cause Microsoft and Nokia are deadEh! no not even close. Nokia sure did get bought by MS but MS isn't going to die not even after hundred years to come. The thing is they have made quarterly profit last years and they also have patents over every android phones sold and that even Google could do nothing about it, They can make billions of dollar this way even if they have to quit the mobile market segment in next years. Haters have been saying things like every years but they are not going to die so they might have to sulk it up and deal with it... :)
DannyC1982, 24 Aug 2014dude stick to using virus prone java. Microsoft and Nokia are strong brand names. Nokia x2 jus... moreVirus prone Java... my God you have no idea what you are talking about. I use WP and I seriously am just embarrassed for you. Java is a programming language, much like C# (from .NET) or Objective-C (OSX/iOS). Languages are not "virus prone", the code written with them are. And now you are sounding like one of the Mac fanboys from the mid 2000s. Please stop, for the sake of everyone else.
AdamBoy64, 24 Aug 2014I feel Microsoft would be unwise to remove Nokia branding from their devices.
The name Noki... moredude i think it should be other way round. if a nokia phone gets google play store i will snap it up instantly even if it costs like a frigging iphone..
nokia makes one of the best smartphones. no doubt about that. almost flawless asthetics and ergonomics.
just the problem thats keeping me from buying the nokia icon is the lack of apps in windows store..
Has anyone else noticed the Nokia logo in the top right corner of the screen. How is that Microsoft mobile? Have I missed something
J2ME user, 23 Aug 2014Well, Nokia is actually down and out, since long already. Rather this Microsoft Lumia signali... moredude stick to using virus prone java. Microsoft and Nokia are strong brand names. Nokia x2 just sold 576k phones in 5 days in China. Microsoft is top company almost 90% of pc run windows. Microsoft is destroying amazon and Google in cloud business. And MS office with its 365 subscription is doing awesomely well. And you are saying Bye bye Microsoft? LOL. have you even checked the specs of the 830. its great!
