It'd be an interesting experiment - ask Apple users if they know what processor is in their phone, or how much RAM. Probably very few.
That's not an indictment on Apple users. Specs are simply not a factor when it comes to Apple devices.
Expensive for such a very normal phone. specs are same old same old. the materials used make this device expensive but the specs are sooo boring. The new design is very ugly. Android OS still ahead. PS: Not an android user
Absolutely no surprises whatsoever and is consistent in what has ALREADY been "officially" leaked by China Telecom
Those of us who live outside the 'Orchard' have carried on and despite the taunts, the only voice you heard was Apple
No doubt when there will be those who WILL pay this and rationalise it, but pending confirmation the 4.7" iPhone6 will still be 8Mp possibly 1.5GHz Dual Core with the new A8 chip so mid range specs but premium phone pricing, http://www.gsmarena.com/apple_...ews-9089.php
Samsung Executives were deliberate in releasing the Samsung Galaxy Alpha and pre-empted Apple 4.7" by having a higher specification and costing less than Apple
Samsung despite saying the Alpha is a flagship phone coming AFTER the S5, the S5 specifications are superior, and Samsung flagship phones like most Samsung has microsd expansion
The Galaxy Alpha is 32Gb non expandable metallic phone which is clearly Imo designed to takeaway customers who simply refuse to pay the price demanded by Apple, and were put off by the PREMIUM plastic body of Samsung
The 32Gb Alpha costs much less than the 16Gb Apple
The price is all but a done deal
I live in Hong Kong, no way that's the real price.
Those numbers are expected re-selling price at the cellphone mall. The iPhone MSRP in Hong Kong is always the lowest among other countries, we can say goodbye to Apple if they are charging that amount.
wisdOm, 04 Sep 2014Wow $1,250? for an iPhone? Seriously? I can't even! Note 4 FTW!you can't even what? speak English?
iphone6 reserved for people with jobs. If your a broke ass get a cheap phone like the struggling s5. Samsung needs your business with their 20% profit margin drop.

Jarret, 04 Sep 2014Too expensive for this crappy smartphone. Sucks! No worthy to your moneyInsania Droid do same.
This does not coincide with 128 GB models. Also the price seems a little bit more by a margin of $50 per device storage... At least from what I am used to seeing in the United States. But I am typically used to seeing $100 difference for storage choice.

All phones yesterday were disappointing. I think maybe I will try big iPhone this time but I will wait till Christmas. Maybe something new comes out.
der, 04 Sep 2014Phone cost no more than $250 to make, and its 800 bucks no contract. woooYep, that's about right.
To make a profit, they'd need to charge more than the cost of the device.
I don't know how many people Apple employ.. but it'd be a lot.
