AnonD-171976, 05 Sep 2014save your budget for nexus 6, motorola + google is like romeo and julietWell I can't see the nexus 6 having a bigger battery than moto X. Giving this year's nexus a miss I think.

Nexus 5 has 445ppi screen while nexus 4 has only 318ppi. Read reviews and you will see that n5 screen is a vast improvement. N5 has 1080p screen while n4 has 720p screen.

Epic fail! Nexus 5 has same size battery on a 5 inch screen which isn't enough - so moto decided to trash their flagship with same size battery in a 5.2 inches - wtf!
I guess I will stick to old moto x .it will get all features of new moto x soon
too small battery. the only phone with great battery is LG G2, 1080p 5.2" screen and 3000Mah battery.
next one one for me,hehehehehe
2300 mAh? Too samalll for 1080p, just like Nexus 5

What's up with that honking enormous Motorola logo on the back? On any otherwise beautiful phone, it is fugly beyond belief. The more discreet logo on the original X was much more in keeping with the refined design of the phone.
found the phoine for me! gonna get rid of my htc M8 for this. deffinatley worth waiting for. i missed out on the first moto x, but not this one
I won't buy one, of course, unless it's available for T-Mobile. I just have never understood why the phone manufacturers put up with these exclusivity deals. It can not possibly benefit them to artificially limit the number of potential customers. They just get manipulated by the carriers, who threaten not to subsidize the phones. It's so anti-competitive. The carriers need to be crushed. I don't know why this stuff can't be stopped with some sort of anti-trust suit.
So disappointed by the design
I wonder what the aspect ratio on the screen is. It looks wider than the typical tall skinny screens these days. Also the width of the phone suggests a wider aspect ration. That would be nice.
I like how the Nexus 4 has a wider aspect ratio. The Nexus 5 has a taller, but not wider screen than the Nexus 4, which wasn't that useful of an improvement. (The Nexus 5 actually has fewer density indepenent pixels--which is what counts--than the Nexus 4, despite having a technically larger screen and this is because of the less useful aspect ratio on the Nexus 5.) The HTC M8 and iPhone 5 did this too, just made a super tall skinny screen, not adding much.
People get so fixatd on the diagonal screen measurement, they don't take into account that a 5.2" screen can have different aspect ratios and that really makes a difference in overall area and usefulness (especially for looking at websites and anything text based).
Pretty nice. I wish it had OIS and a 64 GB version. But if this is the basis for the Nexus X, I think I'll be happy.
Veronica, 05 Sep 2014The old Moto X has an even smaller battery and last pretty long on 1 charge.
I wonder if th... moreYou mean the whooping 39 hour endurance rating GSMArena gave it?
They could have put a bigger battery in this if they didn't make it so thin at the sides. Obviously Motorola didn't get the memo that battery life is trending this year.
A flagship with these Specs .. rather buy a lumia 830 !
raj, 05 Sep 2014what is the price? Can you read?
No card slot again??? C'mon Moto... this is a flagship device and you are competing with Xperia Z3 and Galaxy S5. Simply bad and a big let down.
